Hours after ABC pulled the plug on Adam Lambert's Good Morning America performance, Ryan exclusively spoke to the Idol runner up who shocked audiences Sunday night at the AMAs with a sexually charged performance.

On his racy AMA performance:
"It's choreography, we were dancing. The sexuality of it kind of got a little more extreme when I got up on stage. I think the adrenaline kind of took me over, and I admit it, and i'm proud of the fact that I did get a little carried away."

"I don't feel I owe anyone an apology for anything. I performed, it was late night TV, I did something that female performers have been doing for years, no different. It's just the fact that I'm me and it's a little different for people. It's really not that big of a deal."

On the appearance of a double standard:
"I do think there's a slight double standard. We've seen female pop performers doing extremely sexual routines for years and all of the sudden a guy does it and it's crazy."

On ABC's decision to cancel his GMA performance:
"Obviously I respect their decision, they gotta do what they gotta do. It's too bad, I think there were a lot of fans who were excited to come see me."

"They probably had a lot of pressure coming at them from certain people who weren't happy about it. I respect their decision - I don't necessarily agree with it, but they need to do what they need to do."

This queen is really feeling himself. He is typical 20 something that doesn't feel like they have to abide by rules or play the game. Even tho the biz is run by gays and closeted gays (ya'll know who I"m talmbout) ..someone should have told his cocky ass not to go that far, or he should have stopped hismelf when he started smelling all those luscious mens/peters LOL!.

that mess at the amas shouldn't even be called a performance.... why they picked him to close the show i do not know.... he's not an established artist for him to talking all this nonsense about double standards and whatnot.... shut the hell up.

it'd be different if he was an established artist and for him to be so full of himself... not a good damn look.... and what's funny about this whole mess is no one is even talking about his singing which was horrible... all that damn noise.... he should be damn glad his antics on stage is being talked about more than his singing because honestly there's no explaining that...

Adam Lambert is not an artist, he's a product. As for his performance, I'm moreso offended at how unoriginal it was!


I understand GMA cancelling his performance, it's on in the morning, and considered geared towards the family demographic. Not to mention their sponsors are probably heavy on the conservative radar, so for GMA it was a move they needed to make. For some people it's not as easy as changing the channel.

He needs to know the difference between female provocativeness and male provocativeness; Beyonce, Britney and Lady Gaga just show skin, Adam damn simulated a sexual act. And yes Britney kissed Madonna but that happened on MTV, where the demographics (mostly teens who I would say are more left wing when it comes to lifestyle and social issues) are completely different than an awards show on a MAJOR NETWORK. I bet more adults would watch the Teen Choice Awards than the VMAs.

Nope, Kris Allen did. He was runner up I think. Both are FLOPPING badly though. I hope that manufactured bull gets cancelled. I haven't watched since Jordin Sparks won.

With all these "artists" out here running scared because their label deleted twitter posts, its refreshing to know somebody still got enough balls to stand up for himself.

The controversy will make him more infamous than anything. Most of his fans are from the gay and straight female demographics anyways.

Meh. I think too many people are overreacting to it. The Glambert controversy will be over in about a week. People are STILL talking about Kanye/Taylor and Janet/SuperBowl. I haven't heard too much of Jamie/Miley anymore.

Glambert will definitely get a pass. He's gay, he's white, he's attractive. Some PTB (Powers-That-Be) gay person will look out for him...if they haven't already.
