She wrote this on her tumblr then deleted it. She goes on how she is to real, shes 21 and shes a millionaire, men in the game prefer light skin women etc....

yes, i think white girls shouldn’t make runaway slave master references, not only because its borderline racist, but because it’s corny…. its not innovative. seeing someone utilize such a sinister theme in order to further prove their authenticity or promote a false “blackness” is whack to me. (No, i never said white girls were privileged and shouldn’t rap… i went to private school and theater camp my whole childhood…. i was more than priveliged ) yes… a certain southern rap male should’ve minded his business. Not only because it had nothing to do with him.. but because it wasn’t something that was up for debate. Said male did his best in distracting the public from the aforementioned female’s comment, and instead turned the situation into a shitstorm. A shitstorm in which i should’ve stayed out of as it did nothing but further propel aforementioned southern male rappers name into the Azealia Banks story, and further distract the Azealia Banks audience from Azealia Banks.
I’m not a dummy…. i know i pop a lot of shit, and I’m not playing the victim here… i’m just backing off. I can’t fight every battle. I can’t open the eyes of those who choose to stay asleep. I can’t abide by the rules of “rap game”….. (NO ONE EVEN KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE….LOL!) I also can’t be subjected to whatever weird “Light skin hierarchy” the rap world subliminally (and sometimes directly) is trying to promote. I know what it is…the MEN in the rap game prefer light skin… and that’s cool, i like light skin too.. but i’m not here to be sexy.. and i’m not here looking for a date.

I don't get when people say stuff like this. It makes me think she just has a inferiority complex about herself. If there was such a light skin hierarchy why the hell do I know who she is? I'm sure there was some light skinned chick with little talent that they could've used if it was all like that.
Its like...how are you complaining when you're famous? Do you know how many light skinned chicks would love to be in her position right now? I'm sure twitter, tumblr, and facebook are chock full of them. But again, SHE was the chosen one.

Light skinned or dark skinned, there aren't many female rap hopefuls that have been afforded the luxuries you have this early in your career keep in mind you haven't done shit, alot of people were/are rooting for you.
