Did my ears just deceive me or did Barbara Walters just out herself on the View? She mentioned that she had just returned home from a drive in the country with a "wonderful woman named Ikadell, we've been together for 36 years". Did anyone else see this? Was she talking about her SO or her maid?
I swear I try to stay in lurk mode but LSA lately.....her maid/personal assistant is who she was referring to. Barbara has been married like 3 or 4 times. Everybody's not gay.

Thank you for clearing that up. I'm not a regular of the View. I just happened to turn it on today and the way that she said it made me wonder. She said my woman, we've been together for 36 years, not my assistant who's been with me for 36 years. You seemed to take offense for my query on an internet forum. There are gay people who have been and are presently in seemingly straight marriages for whatever reason and no I don't believe everyone is gay. Thanks again.

I think Barbara also wrote a book where she confessed she had an affair with a married man. I think he was a politician, I could be wrong but a handsome distinguished looking black guy. Star Jones called her out on it after it made news. This was after Star had departed from the show. She was just talking about how Barbara always tries to be so goody when she had been with a married man.
