THERE IS NOTHING U CAN DO WITH A BITTER PERSON BUT PRAY FOR THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE MISABLE. THEY SMILE IN YOUR FACE BUT CAN'T SLEEP AT NIGHT BECAUSE THEY DON'T WANT TO FORGIVE . YES I AM GOING TO SAY THIS IF YOUR GRANDKID MOTHER ARE MAD AT THE CHILDREN FATHER AND REFUSE TO LET ANY OF THERE RELATIVE SEE THE CHILDREN THAT BITTERNESS AND SO GRANMA AND AUNTIE etc. NO LONGER ARE IN THERE LIFE. GOD is not please.
I don't think keeping your kids away is what she called it, 'being bitter", its called PROTECTING them!! Matter of the fact is, majority of the siblings, and most likely the father too, are on drugs and who in their right mind wants their kids exposed to that. Of course, MD doesn't see anything wrong, that dysfunctional sh*t is normal for her and her kids. I wonder if the grandkids were endanger or getting "hurt" by whomever, would she actually do what is right and try to protect them (-____-) or will she tell them to pray forgiveness and not be bitter. Generally speaking, why would a mother want her kids somewhere where they are not fully protected and can get exposed to nonsense? *heavy sigh* I can't with this lady. Her own kids done lost their damn minds, in and out of jail.. on and off drugs and she got the nerve to be giving out advice at a time like this. She should take her own advice and walk what she preaches, at least that would make her a decent parent. I can't stomach this fake sh*t. No Etterlene, God is pleased with a parent protecting their children. but he is definitely not please with YOU or YOUR PRIDE. And you know what the bible says about the prideful and what they don't inherit...
Umm...I wonder what prompted this latest outburst from MamaD? Somebody is NOT doing what she demands, I suspect. I honestly feel for her at this point because she ain't gonna change...that advice is precisely why her kids are so f'ed up and why much of the 3rd gen will also be. She's really into control...and it ain't working. Meh.
As for poor Mo, it really must smart. That said, she seems to hold it down for her kiddies.
Ok Monique, if that is the case, then perhaps you should let go of the Debarge name. She needs to have several seats.
As for Ms. Etterlene, looks like she'll never get it at this point. Ms Lady, God is not pleased with YOU.
Chillle don't let me get started on Monique, smh. I don't buy that "oh I want to have the same last name as my kids" routine, straight bull-shit. She keeps the last name because it comes with recognition and opportunities like getting a reality show (which didn't turn out so well). Same with MD too. Without the name, they're nobody but with it they get the attention they crave for...... I don't see Andrea, Teri, and the other wives, that I know of, still having the Debarge name, its because they MOVED ON and are somewhere quietly raising their kids out of the now dim spotlight.
And Monique can front all she want, but the fact is she cheated, fought, lied, slimed and ho her way to get that last name. She ain't giving it up that easy, oh no. After all that happened she might as well keep it because she shooow did spread it low and spread it wide *evelyn braxton voice*

Someone needs to do an intervention om Etterlene. She is so deep in denial she can't separate the truth from the lies. The only way things have a chance of getting better if she sits down with her kids and look them each in the face and say "I'm sorry I MESSED UP." But instead of doing this she uses God as an excuse to not confront the truth. She doesn't care and Its sad.
And yes Monique is a good mother and she does great by her kids. Its just the last name thing and the passive-aggressive tweets about El and the family gets annoying. She is not over El.

Andrea's still married to Chico, so she's still technically a De Barge. I don't see the big deal about them holding on to the name (or not) if they haven't remarried. This is hardly a name most sane women would floss...outside of fans, the name is pretty . As much as I love them, the name is mostly mired in drug addiction, criminality, and incest...not a great look.
As for how Monique got there, how is she any diff from any of his other post addiction women? He digs chickenheads and gets them!

I think Etterlene is way too much a product of her gen for any kind of change in that direction. Lots of people coped by being willfully ignorant OR desperately trying to see "the bright side" of incredibly sick situations. I suspect much of this is actually quite "normal" for her. What people who think like this don't accept is that sometimesthere is no bright side. After all these years, she doesn't seem to make the connection between her hyperreligiosity and their using drugs/sex in place of religion. It's the same old opiate w/ a diff name.
From what I see, Etterlene thinks it's only her kids w/ the problems....:sidefro wn: I mean, how does one apologize for allowing their hubby to beat their kids like slaves...naked then completed by salt in wounds? This woman allegedly defrauded at least one child of their income...and there are rumors of another. This is way past "I'm sorry". The denial is so deep here that it beggars grief.

I guess he laid it on them damned good for them to keep sweatin' him like they do, but they do. Sometimes a man can get ya mind weak w/ his "good stuff" and ya just can't get over it easily. You're right... it doesn't matter but all the subliminal tweets and claiming to be over it just doesn't make sense to me. All El's exs (except Bobbi) do this lol. I Didn't know Andrea still has the Debarge last name or even had it at all. As for Monique and MD, whhyyy after all that your ex's put you through would you keep that last name?? MD married again and took up the last name Rodriguez but after they divorce I think she kept the last name Rodriguez legally but as her "persona name" she goes by Mama Debarge. Even on her fb, she goes by Etterlene Debarge not Etterlene Rodriquez. Why would MD still keep the name if it wasn't for attention and for show? (bad or not she don't care).... In Monique's case, I don't think she flosses the last name but like I said before she ho her way to get it and she will not give it up. Out of all of El's ex wives, she has not yet changed her last name. Even though Mo's and El's divorce was finalized just a year or so ago, the marriage been over way before then. If that was me, I wouldn't want to hold on to anything that reminds me of the toxic chaos that was their marriage. Yes Monique is not different from the type of women El was with during his addiction but to me she is the worst because she knew the Debarges since she was 16 and Bunny said she was "well known" with the brothers. IMHO I feel she wanted to be in that family BAD and she did what she had to do. She fooled around with El and ended up pregnant TWICE at the same time as Tracy. I'll stop here because I don't want to get into Monica and Melody.
At the end of the day, right now everyone seems content on what they want to do but I don't think they can say they've moved on when their actions are showing different. Again I can't think too much on this because this is allllll a big mindfuck
