The question why I would LET Willow cut her hair. First the LET must be challenged. This is a world where women, girls are constantly reminded that they don't belong to themselves; that their bodies are not their own, nor their power or self determination. I made a promise to endow my little girl with the power to always know that her body, spirit and her mind are HER domain. Willow cut her hair because her beauty, her value, her worth is not measured by the length of her hair. It's also a statement that claims that even little girls have the RIGHT to own themselves and should not be a slave to even their mother's deepest insecurities, hopes and desires. Even little girls should not be a slave to the preconceived ideas of what a culture believes a little girl should be. More to come. Another day.

I understand what she's saying, however, I'm more concerned that Willow needs to eat. Like over eat this Thanksgiving. That chile is skin and bones, and you all can groan all you want. Unless she's trying to model, or even if she isn't, they need to chain her down to the table.

i'm conflicted by this. on one hand i agree with her but on the other hand i think boundaries should be established when it comes to parent/child relationships.

If Jada oversees the 'portion control' as she does for herself...
"Jada admits she is lacking in one area: "I can't cook!" she says. "It's genetic. My grandmother can't cook, my mother can't cook. I was raised to believe you eat because your body needs fuel for energy, so I eat superfoods."

She is just thin like her momma and daddy. She just looks like a regular thin girl. I dont see bones on her she would look much different

I completely agree. I know way too many people (in my family and in life) that place TOO much emphasize on the length of hair as if it's actually a measure of a girl's beauty. Give it a rest! It's just dead skin cells sitting on top of your head.

Her weight is fine. She is still super young. when I was that age, I was bony too. It's normal. Willow is a beautiful girl so I'll agree with her mother about the hair thing. But I'm a little scared of how these kids will turn out when they get older.
