I think they were both sexually abused as children and either were forced to have sex with each other or witness it with other people. Nevertheless, I think Cissy was just trying to connect in the only way she knew how which was physical closeness. I don't think she wanted to have sex with him but just be close to him. All I know their relationship was majorly complex and f-ed up.

Agreed. She desperately longed for affection, in a sisterly way. Brandon was so cold and distant most of the time, he really did shun all forms of intimacy and Cissy was the complete opposite. I never thought either was sexually interested in the other but Steven McQueen did leave their dynamic open to interpretation so any number of things could explain their behavior and relationship, in general.

I was gonna comment on how Michael can look so different from picture to picture. It really is weird. As for the Ralph and Joseph references, I can see it. Michael definitely shares Ralph's level of intensity, especially in how they can seemingly stare right through you. Sexy.

yeah i agree with ya'll...i never felt like brandon and cissy were sexually attracted to each other. i just felt like their ease in being naked in front of each other was due to some crazy, horrible shit that took place in their childhood. like lashaye said, i figured they were either forced to have sex with each other or had watched each other have sex with others.

when she got in bed with him, i didn't see any evidence that she was trying to get physical with him. i thought she was just spooning him like she wanted to be close. he was pissed off that she had just fucked his boss...after knowing him for just an hour...in his bed!!! i would have been pissed too.

also, i think brandon was very well aware that cissy was always putting herself out there to men to get hurt. and he knew this was going to be yet another instance she was going to get dissed.

i can't remember the song that is playing when brandon first comes home and catches her in the shower naked...but it says something about how the woman wants him to love her. i can't believe i can't think of the name of the song right now. but anyway, every song in a movie is chosen for a reason and clearly that song was foreshadowing the neediness we would soon learn that cissy desperately has towards brandon.

as i've said before, i know SM left out a lot of details on purpose but i really wish they had made the movie a bit longer and had told us SOMETHING about their background beyond they were from jersey!!!!

with brandon's job, obviously brandon probably had a great education from a large school. so in spite of whatever abuse he'd suffered, he was able to still set goals and make achievements. i would also like to know how long had his sex addiction been going on? i just don't believe that is something he could have been maintaining for years and years?

the girl on purse blog said when she met michael he was leaning up against a wall in the lobby of the theater texting someone. i think it was probably nicole. they were probably coordinating their meetup for after she was done with her event and he was done with his.

or more than likely, he's probably staying at her place??
