Okay I'ver scoured the net and have yet to find hardly ANYTHING about what has been going on with Bishop George Bloomer from Durham, NC by way of Brooklyn, NY.

I did find THIS BLOG POST that intimated that he and Jeannie Bloomer may have actually divorced. I've also noticed that George was not wearing his wedding ring on a recent episode of REJOICE the Word Network's gospel talk show that he is the new host of.

With his DRASTIC weight loss and the fact that his marriage may have ended, I can't wait to hear what he has to say at the taping of Lexi's upcoming television taping. I wonder if she will hit him with some hard questions or if she will just pussy-foot around with irrelevant 'church-questions'. The taping is next week, I'll keep everyone updated!!!

I think this has come up before about him (but, any evidence per se on his divorce and the what, when, where, and why's of that is not on the internet).

The divorce happened before the weight loss but, he's lost a SUBSTANTIAL amount of weight until he's almost not recognizable.

I don't know WHY he divorced but, it'll be interesting to see if it's addressed on the Lexi show.

well I guess, its nice to not have a scandal associated w/a Rev. I was honestly looking for dirt, smdh.

I just looked him up on the net and BAM!!! right back here--WE are the news huh??

I just read he used to shoot coke before he was called, he is chubby but I guess not anymore.

I saw one episode of Rejoice when he hosted and I did NOT recognize him at all until he showed his book and I saw his name on it. I didn't know he was the new host of the show because the next week I watched it, someone else was hosting it. Maybe they were trying to test out a few people before they found a new host, but I don't know.

I did notice that the former Rejoice host, Greg Davis, now has a daily show on the Impact network, but I've never seen it because we don't have Dish service for our cable provider. I might try to see if you can watch their shows online. I was really surprised about that because for some reason, I thought that Greg Davis was either one of the owners of the Word Network or affiliated with it in some other way. I have no idea of why I thought that, though.

When and on what channel does Lexi's show air? I was surprised when they took her show off the Word Network because it was interesting whenever I had a chance to watch it. Glad to hear she is still doing her thing. I was very shocked to hear about Bishop Bloomer's divorce, as well as very saddened. It always saddens me to hear about people divorcing after being married for a LONG time, especially if they are saved. I remember him preaching once and talking about how supportive she had been of him, even before he was saved. He said she is the one who taught him how to read.

Anyhoo, thanks for the information. I'll try to remember to watch for Lexi's interview with him.

when did George Bloomer get divorced? He did a conference in my area about 4 years ago and his children were there don't know if his wife was there. Hope they're alright because divorce is always hurtful. Didn't George host the first couple of episodes of Rejoice In The Word before they got the studio fixed up? And I also thought that Greg Davis was a big wig at The Word Network; when Dorinda Clark Cole started hosting some show on TCT (not the one she has now but the one Greg Davis had can't remember the name) she did an interview about how she got the job and said that he (Greg Davis) use to host the show but then he was promoted which sent him to the word network. But I like him on Rejoice in the word he's funny.

The Lexi show will be back on the Word Network in the fall, I think they said September. It was announced a few months ago that she would be coming back.

IMHO he didn't need to lose weight he looked fine the way he was. But as long as he healthy and happy that's all that matters.

I don't think there is any real dirt if he is divorced. He conducted a revival at I church I attended about 2 years ago and acknowledged there were some issues in his marriage.

Basically, when he married his wife she was fresh out of high school or college. She never really had the opportunity to live on her own and now since her kids were grown and leaving the house she was missing that time in her life and wished should could establish herself outside of being the Bishop's wife. He mentioned getting her an apartment so, she could have some time to do her from time to time.

Remember he had the cocaine problem. There was a long thread about him on here.

So he is divorced now and lost weight.

Watch out.

He maybe looking to sow his seed all througout the churches he guest speaks at.
