mike has always been skinny, but this kind of skinny he was sporting, looked like that of a man who wasn't in the best of health.

I'm sorry but, I don't believe MJ had universal vitiligo. Maybe partial...but universal? nah.
Something happened to him between Thriller and Bad. It takes YEARS for vitiligo to spread universally over the body. not 5...we saw many pics of MJ post Thriller...his makeup didn't gradually get lighter...he just popped up on the album cover hi yella.

die hard fans maybe?? but for him to pop and dance and things before it just makes me KNOW it had to be a fatal dose..that did him in..
The media has dogged him so (the nanny said she never pumped his stomach and would not know how, a bunch of lies) I am just glad he said something positive about MJ..
There are some people that post on boards that call him names and compare him to feces, I got into a HUGE argument w/a chick that said horrible racist things but I got her TOLD and also my blood pressure was sky high.
gotta go, getting sad again..
you're right, I wish someone had stepped up, they say he was very
stubborn..and for the right price a doc will write ANY prescription you want.

The comments on TMZ.com are the WORST! The things they say about him are absolutely deplorable to the nth degree. I didn't think people like that existed. That's how callous, ruthless and disrespectful they are. I was reading some of the comments on tmz's post that included the live press conference feed...and those people are just...it's just sad and scary the way folks talk about other people, especially the deceased.

Yeah, the hate people spew on the internet is really sickening. I've unfortunately come to expect it and when I visit sites like Youtube I dare not scroll down and read the comments.

Re: Why does everyone keep saying that Michael looked great?
I thought "he looked great" as in, healthy, strong and energetic. He didn't look sickly to me. He was thin, but then he's always been quite thin. However, his thinness, imo, lends credibility to the drug addiction theory. Because all of the other Jackson's seem to have problems keeping the weight OFF. Is it true that he only had pills in his stomach?

The video announcing his tour didn't even look like him, I was looking hard to pick up signs of an imposter because his hand gestures, manerisms, voice, everything was so off.

Re: Why does everyone keep saying that Michael looked great?
Comparing the pictures to the Michael being wheeled around to the pictures of his last rehearsal, he looked much better, not great but better.
He could barely walk so once he was able to dance and rehearse the difference was noticeable to those around him.

Re: Why does everyone keep saying that Michael looked great?
Just some food for thought....Here is an article that has been floating around the web, on various blog sites for aprox 6 months now. Everybody had brushed it off as another "stunt" by Michael to avoid his financial obligations etc. Call it strange coincidence, I dunno. When I first heard news of his death, this was the first thing that came to my mind. I was thinking damn he really was sick, but then the Propofol allegations took flight. I guess Only time will reveal what really happened.
THE ENQUIRER FIRST REPORTED JA**kO HAD SIX MONTHS TO LIVE IN OUR JAN 12, 2009 ISSUE
The ENQUIRER reported months ago that worried pals feared Michael Jackson would die in the next six months!
FROM JANUARY 12, 2009: Michael Jackson is dying - and has only six months to live, pals fear.
Sadly, the desperately ill star is bedridden much of the time, and his electrifying stage performances are a thing of the past, reveal sources.
Incredible reports surfaced in late December that Jackson is battling a rare, deadly genetic disorder and requires a lung transplant. Although the singer denied the reports, The ENQUIRER was told by sources that his health is deteriorating rapidly because of a crippling addiction to painkillers and alcohol.
A source close to the star divulged: "It's tragic. His condition is just so far gone, I'd be surprised if he lasts six months.
"Painkillers and booze have caught up with him. The only way he was able to cope with the stress of sex scandals and his roller-coaster life was to mask the pain with substance abuse.
"But the end result is an addiction that will kill him."
King Bizarro's dependency on drugs "dates back to when his hair was burned making a Pepsi commercial," said the close source. Twenty-five years later, "the drugs simply have ravaged him."
Michael's in "really, really bad shape," claims the family friend. "He's been sick for six to eight months and he just keeps getting worse.
"His muscles and lungs are deteriorating, and he's bedridden much of the time. He can walk, but not for very long.
"On good days, Michael is able to take his kids to a bookstore. But he's never out for more than an hour. He has very little strength...It's ultimately in God's hands."
But a spokesman for Jackson vehemently denies the star is ill, saying: "Mr. Jackson is in fine health" and is in negotiations for a concert tour and TV projects.
"Michael's fighting for his life," the close source concluded. "And it doesn't look good."

Re: Why does everyone keep saying that Michael looked great?
Of course people who were around him are gonna say he looked great. Most of them don't want to be looked at as contributors or enablers to his condition prior to death. I bet money most of them knew he was heavily medicating.

i agree everybody knew, if they were with him 15 years how could they not know, MJ was way to thin to be taking so many meds and on an empty stomach at that. U should never take meds on an empty stomach, it eats away at your stomach lining...
I think MJ looked ok, but obviously was not in the best health and rehearsing 4 hrs a day after not dancing or being active for years can take it's toll...

Re: Why does everyone keep saying that Michael looked great?
I heard his condition being described as beyond emaciation, but as cachexia or cachexic. I'd never heard of it, but in short, it talks about the weight loss and wasting that a person experiences with cancer/AIDS, autoimmune diseases (he was rumored to have lupus) and some types of drug addiction. Basically, the person loses weight, muscle mass, and appetite (he was down to one meal a day and had to be coaxed to eat that.) After a certain point, even if the calorie intake is increased, the person won't regain the weight.
I feel very sorry for Michael. I think he was a tortured soul, with few people able to reach him and help him return from the abyss. I wouldn't be surprised if he accidentally on purpose decided to slip away. JHMO RIP Michael
Cachexia (pronounced /kəˈkɛksiə/) is loss of weight, muscle atrophy, fatigue, weakness and significant loss of appetite in someone who is not actively trying to lose weight. The formal definition of cachexia is the loss of body mass that cannot be reversed nutritionally; even if you supplement the patient calorically, lean body mass will be lost, indicating there is a fundamental pathology in place. Cachexia is seen in patients with cancer, AIDS, COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), and CHF (congestive heart failure). It is a positive risk factor for death - meaning if the patient has cachexia, the chance of death from the underlying condition is increased dramatically. It can be a sign of various underlying disorders; when a patient presents with cachexia, a doctor will generally consider the possibility of cancer, metabolic acidosis (from decreased protein synthesis and increased protein catabolism), certain infectious diseases (e.g. tuberculosis, AIDS), and some autoimmune disorders, or addiction to drugs such as amphetamines or cocaine. Cachexia physically weakens patients to a state of immobility stemming from loss of appetite, asthenia, and anemia, and response to standard treatment is usually poor.[1][2]

Re: Why does everyone keep saying that Michael looked great?
when people say he looked great, they're talking about how he looked great energy, performance, michael wise. in the last video that surfaced of the dress rehearsal performing at the staples center, that did not look like a sick and frail man performing.
i'm telling you all again. michael died because of all the medications in his system conflicting with each other, his body couldn't take, and because his negligent staff found him too late. i also believe the man had a underlying medical condition that may or may not be revealed that we didn't know he had.
