Trayvon Martin Girlfriend Told Several Lies Under Oath

The state's chief witness in the Trayvon Martin murder case lied under oath, prosecutors say.

The young woman who says she was on the phone with Martin when he encountered George Zimmerman lied about her whereabouts at another time, the defense told a judge Tuesday.

The woman, whose name has not been released, had told prosecutors that she was in the hospital on the day of Martin's funeral. The defense then sought her medical records.

In court on Tuesday, the state said the woman, known as Civilian Witness 8, was not in the hospital, so there are no such records to be turned over.



Crump said the witness had told him she was 16 years old. But the defense later learn she was 18 at the time -- legally an adult -- on the night of the killing, February 26, 2012, in Sanford, Florida.

Wow, they can charge her with perjury but her age has nothing to do with the murder.

Why does it matter what she was doing on the day of the funeral? Who asked that?why does she feel the need to lie about it?

It goes to her credibility though. That's the problem. Makes the states case that much harder because now they gotta deal with the lies and how the witness will appear to the jury. It's best not to even start with the damn lying b/c you will get caught. You can only tell the truth one way. A lie. It always changes and eventually you won't even be able to keep it straight. A good attorney will trip up people telling the truth...they'll eat someone lying for dinner.

Why the hell would she lie about that and why is where she was or her age relevant??

This girl could ruin this case smh. Now her credibility comes into play. If she lied about that then what else could she be lying about?

Remember, this girl was on the phone with Trayvon at the time of the killing. She has stated that she heard some of the confrontation. Now since her credibility is in question she could be lying about what she heard that night.

Exactly why is she lying???? Yes you were 18 messing with a 16 year old, so what? She is making things harder than what they have to be.

I don't understand why they would want to know where she was during the funeral or why she would lie about it either.

She lied but Zimmerman also lied. He told the 911 operator he thought Travon was a teenager. Then at a court hearing he said he thought he was much older (which is why he claimed he felt so threatened).

I hope the girlfriend's lies and NBC purposely misrepresenting parts of the 911 audio tape DOESN'T help get him off.

Has she admitted to having sex with him? This is just another distraction the defense is using but it doesn't help in justifying the MURDER of Trayvon.
