In Memoriam - Remembering Pets Whom Have Passed Away
Most of you like me, are probably life long pet owners. I love the pets I have now but I remember fondly and miss the ones I grew up with and have lived with over the years.
So heres to my little loved ones who are now angels!
I miss you
Joanne D. Shepard (aka Jojo) - My mother named her Joanne so that when we talked about her people would not know we were talking about a dog. LOL
The D. Shepard was from me (I was a kid) it stood for Doberman Shepard since she was a dobe-shep mix. I felt that she should have a proper name. LOL.
Ethiopia (aka Opie) - My first adopted cat, whom I had to put to sleep after 10 years (feline lukemia). He was my fiesty fly catching cat and he loved the hell out of me.
Nipolean (aka Nippy) - My first username on here was MyCatNippy in honor of him. I had just put him to sleep a month before I joined. He was very vocal and loving and he was the best mouser. When we lived in a wooded area, nippy would bring me dead mice as presents. He would leave them at the front door. LOL. He grew up with Opie but they were not related.
Nippy passed away last year from cancer. He was 13 years old.
I wish I had pics! But my heart remembers what they look like and they all have a place there.

Flash - He was my cockatiel I had for 14 years. He passed away from a liver disease a couple years ago. He died in my mom's hands while she was holding him to keep him warm. I cried for almost a week.

R.I.P Alowishes (1987- 1992). I still dream about you and am convinced that you had a human's soul. You taught me that those who walk on four feet are more humane, smart, sensitive, kind and loving than many who can walk on two. You were beautiful.

Wow this has not been up for five minutes and already someone is bashing me in tags. I must be doing something right to have such a hater following me. LOL

Well I have never been a pet owner, but your stories tugged at my heart strings. I understand that pets are more like family members. I'm sorry for all of your losses.
Re: In Memoriam - Remembering Pets Whom Have Passed Away
Mickey Oliver aka "lil nygga" aka "pretty mickey"- Man I loved that damn pet like no other. They say you cant MAKE a cat do anything, but I swear this lil dude would always come when I called him. I remember the fond days of us being in the kitchen and me rolling him around as if he was a break dancer and then giving him a pose. We watched movies together, ate poptarts and powered doughnuts.
We had to put him down last April because he had a tumor that was eating his body from the inside out,he was brave as hell because he shouldnt have lasted as long as he did when he was diagnosed, but he fought it out to stay with me..... . I dont believe in friends, but that lil dude was my bestfriend for 12 BEAUTIFUL YEARS!!!! He has most def taught me a valuable lesson in love and I am forever grateful... I even believe he talked to me from his urn, as one day I was washing dishes and found one of his whiskers on the lil mat I was standing on. This was a month and a half after he died and I had since then vacuumed the floors in the house and the mat was black, so its not like I just over looked it.

Re: In Memoriam - Remembering Pets Whom Have Passed Away
I would like to give a shout out to my daughter's first pet, Peaches. My sister got her for my daughter's birthday about 5 years ago. My daughter adored this thing even though she was an escape artist, she was always found. Sadly, she died 2 years later of old age, we had a nice funeral for her in the backyard, buried her and still have a copy of her obituary. We miss you Peaches!
Ok, darn thing was a hamster and it got on my nerves so badly, LOL. And my daughter to this day doesn't know that rats dug up the dead thing and ate it. Oh well....
