I didn't like Tony King's character in the movie (Satin) but I think he was a good looking man all those years ago. Oh, and that body was on point but then again he'd been an athlete.
He joined the Nation and changed his name to Malik Farrakhan.
He does look his age these days and kind of reminds me of my uncles. I don't know about that NOI stuff, but it's good to see that he's still doing well and apparently in good health. It's always good when some of our classic black actors and actresses are still with us!

Sister always makes me sad because she reminds me of one of my older cousin's who looked just like her and went down the EXACT same path!
Her funeral was beautiful too and I always thought she was so amazing. She looked like my Nanna! I use to hug & kiss her and she would always bring me chocolate. My other cousin( her younger sister) ended up successful but I know she took her death so hard.

Top of everything in school and beauty queen. She was being courted by this star athlete, very accomplished and smart( so they thought) and he turned out to be lucifer. He had her doing drugs, beat her up. My uncle and great uncle found out it went down. But it was too late. Very sad funeral, she was so tiny and bruised. They made her look beautiful at the funeral though. She looked like a sleeping angel.
I always wonder how different her life may have been if she would have been focused on her life and not all that glittered. He glittered but he was not GOLD! He died a painful death though, but it still does not change things.
wow i just google tony king aka satin he change his name to malik farrikan and is public enemys head security he looks mad old, like a 84yr old dude back in the day he looked like detroit lions rb Allen Aldrige!
I THINK JORDAN SPARKS WOULD MAKE A PERFECT SPARKLE, AND BEYONCE WOULD PLAY SISTER JUST FINE, AND OLD GIRL FROM 3LW COULD PLAY THE OTHER NOT SO CUTE SISTER, AND IDRIS OR 50 CENT COULD PLAY SATINE ANY DAY!
yea I'm watching it now too... "what can i do? with this feeling..."
for the life of me I can't understand why tvone has such great movies (watched mahogany and lady sings the blues last night) and BET has such crap (baby boy, baby boy, soul plane, baby boy again). Doesn't BET have more money to purchase the rights to more quality entertainment??? maybe i am just ignorant about the way these things work lol
