Re: Has French Connection really fallen that far off?
yea thats not cute but im sure someone somewhere is already charging their card.
ive recently fallen in love with zara, now they have some really really nice clothing. everything looks expensive, well made, trendy, and the prices aren't ridiculous.
Re: Has French Connection really fallen that far off?
French Connection has been hit or miss for me for a minute but I still like their stuff for the most part. Zara is just waaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyy too mainstream for me now. I don't even go in there at all unless they have some insane sale on shoes or blazers.
I prefer Façonnable over the both of them if i'm gonna go for a tailored look.

Re: Has French Connection really fallen that far off?
The quality is decent but their sizes run much larger than the norm where I live. Earlier this year I bought a FC coat in size 14 (about US size 10) from ASOS. At the time I was a size 12 but I wanted to wear the coat over sweaters and cardigans so I got a larger size. When I tried it on I was swimming in it, I think it was a true size 16 or 18.
I don't shop there much since their designs seem to be geared towards 30+ women nowadays.

it's so weird, I was looking at their new stuff one day and I thought a child made it.
i dont know what's going on with this store but they need to get it together.
first you're closing down brick and mortars, then your sale items is like $20 less and it has a nerve to be final sale, then you're marketing ugly crap.
get it together FC!!!
I use to spend a ton of money in this place, now I just look at the stuff and shake my head. and I'm pissed at the final sale crap. um hoe, there isn't a store near me!!!! so if I purchase and it doesn't fit, I'm stuck with it.
there is two in NYC though, but NYC charges tax! I'm mad about that too. who the hell pays tax on clothing?!
Location: Manila to Lagos. If i'm not studying for an exam, i'm escorting or Waiting for my soon to be hubby to finish up my oysters, while listening to soca!Mwah Love ya xoxo

The quality of their products is subpar. The material used is cheap and of low quality yet their prices(over here) are higher than most high street chains. Terrible! They are hemorrhaging money nowadays
Re: Has French Connection really fallen that far off?
Yeah, definitely hit or miss. I know they have closed some stores too in the last few years, it's practically more feasable to just shop online with them.

ok I'm done.
I think they have one in The Mall at Short Hills (very pretentious sounding, I know). So if you live in NY (but by the comment about taxes on clothes it sounds like you just may live in Jersey), hit that spot up in Millburn (everything in Jersey is close to highway so it shouldn't be too hard to find) and shop at that location.

fyi there's no longer a french connection at the short hills mall so the ny stores might be your best bet
Re: Has French Connection really fallen that far off?
I can't say they're top on my list, but I like their pieces...just not the prices which is why I take advantage of their 30% and up sales. I've never made full price purchases fro FC.
I have some sweaters that I love from French Connection...good quality, but I'm not quite sold that their price points are properly aligned. Nonetheless, I just purchased a $349 wool trench coat that was marked down to $229 + 50% off the sale price for $114. I could not pass up this deal especially considering trench coats are classic and timeless. #winning
