I've used scrubs once a week. Does the skin get used to them...and over time STOP working? Why I ask is that as stated - I've used exfoliators for the past 5 years and they haven't helped in making the scars lighter.
I use an exfoliator everyday. It's by Queen Helene, which is a less harsher than Apricot Scrub. How are you getting rid of the acne itself? When I get a pimple/bump I put toothpaste on it...It causes it to go down without leaving a spot. Also Vitamin E oil works. I use it when I get a scar, but it has to be a fresh scar. Apply it twice a day (faithfully) and you would see a huge difference in color like in a week or less, depends.

Week after week I've used this thing (it's an 8 week system) and there has been NO change. NONE WHATSOEVER. I have NOT been touching or picking at my skin. I'm being 'kind' to my skin (no harsh rubbing, scrubbing, etc). I've been using a mild cleanser for the past 6 months.
The other Clinique product that doesn't work (that's being advertised in EVERY Black magazine) is the Even Better serum. Used this for 6 months. NO DIFFERENCE.
My last resort is what Mz. Haze suggested - the Dead Sea scrub. I'm going to purchase it soon and report back with my results.

For the past 6 months or so my face has broken out like crazy! I recently had surgery a few weeks ago and I think my breakouts were due to hormones. Anyway a friend recommended a skin care line called PCA skin care. I purchased a trial size and it has worked WONDERS in less than a week. I no longer have breakouts, but this could be due to surgery and my hormones returning to normal, however the dark marks that I have on my face are lightening up! She had issues with hypermigtation and her daugther who is 16 had terrible acne, nothing would work...since using the pca skin care line her skin looks GREAT and her daughters as well. She came to visit me my first week after surgery to help out and when I saw her skin I was like WTH are you using! !LOL! You may want to try it. I know the Pigment gel and the AC Senergy Serum are good I ordered a sample kit just to see how I would like it. It's about 30-40 bucks and last about 3 weeks. Let me know if you want additional information.

I've started the lemon juice technique but I don't have any vitamin E. Any brands out there that I should look for the next time I'm in the drugstore?
The brand doesnt really matter, just make sure that it has only ONE ingredient in it (Tocopheryl Acetate). Mine has 28,000 IU (the higher the number, the thicker the product). I've used/done SOOO many things for this acne prone face of mine, til I just about gave up (Chemical Peels, Bleaching Creams, you name it, i've done it)
I also read the Coach thread and decided to try the GNC pills (along with 3 other kind) and Retin-A. To make a long story short, as I noticed that my face was clearing, I started using the Vitamin E at night (after my Retin-A) and now (about 2 wks later) there was a DRASTIC change in my dark spots. Theyre almost completely gone.
im beautiful again

I got it off Amazon for $20.50. It was almost $60 on their website.
I used it once. Not alot peeled off. It's not a salt scrub in the usual sense. There are no granules. It's a gel & u rub rub rub it on your face and the skin peels off. I had some peeling but not alot. But I'd exfoliated pretty thoroughly that week. I've laid off of using alot products the last few days b/c I'm peeling, so I'm going to give it a try again tomorrow.
Read the results on Amazon.

Oh really? Yes, I've gone to their website and found it on eBay.
Just to be clear, we're speaking on the same one, right? This is the one Ms. Haze suggested:
Thanks!

Yes that's it. It says "sea salt scrub peel" or whatever, but it's a gel made of sea salt. The "scrubbing" is your damned hand scrubbin back and forth lol. And it peels off the skin.
Haze swears by it and so do the ladies that reviewed it on Amazon. So I'll give it a shot.
Oh the shipping was free on Amazon too from this particular seller & it was $20.50.

Hahaha! Gotta do some of the work, huh?
Thanks! I would love to hear how it goes for you! I read the reviews on Amazon. I found a few sellers on eBay selling it for $16.00. I'm going to order!
mederma did NOTHING for me. just slathered on all thick and gross.
i'm using Pure Vitamin E 56,000 IUD from GNC... was like 12 dollars.
its fading my marks pretty quickly! i apply it twice daily to my whole face and back... it says to just apply to problem areas, but i rub it in all over. its also good for a romantic massage kill two birds with one stone
