If you want to rid yourself of dark spots exfoliate regularly - invest in microdermabrasion treatment, they speed up a 'natural' process. Don't use bleaching creams.
I used it years ago... It is very popular in Africa. However many questions have been raised regarding the ingredients. It was supposed to be removed from the shelves in the north east area in 2001..02. While I personally brought it from the local corner beauty supply.. It is not fda approved.. is it's ALLEGED to have irratical agents that will permantly damage the skin. It did remove my (monthly period) scars, but I was scared and discontinued using it after watching and reading about illegally sold cosmestics/creams in US. Honey Mag...bag then featured a story on African women obsessed with becoming lighter and most of them used this same cream and suffered irreversable damage, but they continued using it...Google the name..
I used Proactive skin lightning gel. It works fabulously!!!! After my period pimp goes away I throw it right on and the brown mark disappears within days!!!!!!!!!
That's all I use... and I only use it for that sole purpose.
I just looked it up on google... all of the unsafe bleaching creams have mercury, hydroquinone and steroids which can lead to cancer if continually used over a long period of time.
One of my aunts pushed on me to use to clear up teen acne. Unfortunately it was not suitable for my sensitive skin and it was crazy greasy and it had a weird smell to it when I used it back in the 90s. The formula might have changed but I will never use that stuff again.

Re: Movate Skin Bleaching Cream
Don't use it. My sister is light skin anyway( the same skintone as Alicia Keys) she was staying at some friends houses in Africa over the summer like 3 years ago. She had lost some of her luggage, so she used the soap on her face. It lightened her skin noticeably in less than a week- now you know there is something wrong with something that works that quickly. When my aunt saw her, she was like you need to stop! And she threw it away

Don't do it. You will regret it. It permanently damages the skin. You might get the results you want, but once you stop, your skin will get darker than it was before. Movate has steroids and mercury in it. STAY AWAY FROM IT! Save up and get a chemical peel or try RetinA. There are safer ways.
