Re: How many of you are planning to take your student loan debt to your grave?
@ rep: Not yet, I decided to take it next year because I still have 2 classes to complete in the fall that will definetly be covered on the PCAT. Funny you asked, yesterday I went to half priced books and got a PCAT study guide.

I plan on living frugally until I pay them off. I don't understand why someone who owes hundred of thousands of dollars to the IRS can have their debt forgiven or only have to pay back a small percentage of that, but a student has to pay everything back WITH interest. Our govt is ffed up!

Plus with as many black people claiming they have vast amount of Indian blood in them, they can get scholarships for that too. I mean, if you aren't lying about it. If Elizabeth Warren can claim Indian for her college, I'm sure us black people can too. Right?
I don't have any debt. I got grants/scholarships for my college.
Y'all should have just been smart & get money. No Loans. If you need Loans for college, you already messed up. Why? You didn't save before hand or you didn't take school seriously enough or you were too lazy to look for scholarships for black people and women.
I think that it is not fair to say that you must be dumb to not apply for scholarships that only 2-3 people will get out of 100,000+ applicants in the country for an extraordinary amount.
You must have been a member of Mensa because even I knew "super geniuses" who went to Ivy League schools who still had to work part-time during college to pay tuition.
What's dumb is if you take out loans and decide that you're not a school person or you are going into a field that will pay you less per year than the loans after graduation.
Even those who had school paid for still didn't utilize their education to do what is needed to be successful. How many free-riders studied BS on free money and still didn't have a job worthy of their educational experience? What's dumb is if you get a free education and choose to piss your life away. Now, that's dumb...
