PLEASE REVEAL SOME OF YOUR ABSOLUTE FAVORITE MEALS, RECIPES and/or SELECTIONS WHEN DINING OUT???
what are your favorite restaurant meals/selections when dining out?
this lady is close to forty with 3 kids..... THIS CAN'T BE LIFE
each time a post questions about Pilar's diet and fitness routine, I receive the same responses... EAT A CLEAN DIET!!!
so ladies what EXACTLY are "YOU" EATING in your clean diet???
p.s... Pilar's fitness routine impresses me b/c she has always been SO toned without looking like a dude. I honestly will say I don't like the muscles on the female form (although she's slightly leaning in a direction of being too cut these days)
LSA WHICH AB EXERCISES DO YOU THINK SHE DOES TO WHITTLE HER WAIST, AND FLATTEN HER STOMACH WITHOUT THE MUSCLES IN THE STOMACH AREA??

I eat clean. It's hard but you get used to it. I have this clean eating book I bought that gives me good ideas. It's hard for me to post it here since I can't copy and paste. But yeah.. That's how I learnt how to make wholewheat pancakes (with oats in it). They taste amazing with honey!
I also like making wraps with like chicken, spinach and ricotta cheese in it with some bell peppers.
Another meal I like is spinach/potato Fritata (I don't use cheese though). It's yum.
I also like chicken curry with cabbage as well. Sometimes I eat the chicken curry with some brown rice
I use turkey mince with bolognese sauce and eat that with wholewheat pasta. Sometimes I add mushrooms (I love mushrooms )
A lot of times, I just look at recipes in my book or online and I don't even follow the whole thing (sometimes they're too extra for me ). I do my own little thing and most of the time I like it! Or I think of my favourite foods and find clean substitutes and make them. You will get the hang of it, don't worry. I was lost too a couple of months ago.

I eat clean here and there. I tend to fall off the wagon often but I eat this salad made with Homemade bread crumbs.
I go to Whole foods for my lettuce, add red onions, green bell peppers, tomatoes, and cucumbers.
Cook old bread (I prefer Wheat) cut up in pieces, drizzle with EVO, salt, pepper and crushed red pepper flakes. Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown.
The salad dressing entails, Olive Oil, Balsamic Vinegar, 1 crushed garlic clove and chopped herbs fresh Basil and Thyme. Salt and pepper. Shake it all together
Take your salad, your home made croutons toss together then toss the salad dressing on top which helps the croutons soak up the dressing...it is so good.
I also purchased Tosha's book but I feel making my own recipes works better for me.

I drink lots of fruit and veggie smoothies, at least twice a day. Both smoothies have at least six to seven different fruits and/or veggies in them. I rarely do restaurants because I cook for myself. Because I eat so cleanly, I find that restaurants can't compete. I find them less filling, less healthy and less satisfying. Restaurant food leaves me feeling loaded and grumpy. My food leaves me happy and satisfied--calm and energized at the same time.
People should start with nut burgers if they want to start eating clean, but feel satisfied. Here's one recipe from the New York Times. You can vary the ingredients to suit your own taste:
1 medium onion
1 cup walnuts, pecans, almonds, cashews or other nuts, preferably raw
1 cup (raw) rolled oats or cooked short-grain white or brown rice
2 tablespoons ketchup, miso, tomato paste, nut butter or tahini
1 teaspoon chili powder or any spice mix you like
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 egg--Substitute with Bob's Red Mill Egg Replacer
2 tablespoons peanut oil, extra virgin olive oil or neutral oil, like grapeseed or corn.
1. Grind onion in food processor. Add nuts and oats, and pulse to chop, but not too finely. Add remaining ingredients except oil. Process briefly; don't grind too finely. Add a little liquid — water, stock, soy sauce, wine, whatever — if necessary; mixture should be moist but not loose.
2. Let mixture rest a few minutes, then shape it into 4 burgers. (Burger mixture or shaped burgers can be covered tightly and refrigerated for up to a day. Bring back to room temperature before cooking.) Put oil in nonstick or well-seasoned cast iron skillet and turn to medium. When oil is hot, add burgers to skillet. Cook about 5 minutes, undisturbed, until browned, then turn with spatula. Lower heat a bit and cook 3 or 4 minutes more, until firm.
3. Serve on buns with mustard, ketchup, chutney or other toppings.
This smoothie, created by Koff, uses a protein powder made from hemp seeds, which is a balanced source of skin-boosting omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. The dandelion greens are great for the liver, helping to detox the body and skin; the avocado and raw cacao powder contain a powerful mix of antioxidants, which help clear the complexion and get skin glowing; and the coconut water is loaded with potassium, which helps skin cells get the water they need to stay (and look) hydrated.
Blend …
1 scoop of hemp protein (Koff likes Manitoba Harvest Hemp Pro 70)
1/2 cup organic blueberries
1/2 bunch dandelion greens (no stems)
11 oz coconut water
1/4 avocado
1 tablespoon raw cacao powder See Next Page: BANANA ALMOND FLAX SMOOTHIE
I wish I could drink smoothies but most of them have bananas in them, don't like bananas. And i'm just not down with drinking something with solids in it
Smoothies .. I enjoy a spinach smoothie with peanut butter whey protein, half banana, almond milk, ice, and that's it. U don't taste the spinach. At all

tried it once and also started cutting back on fast food/restaurant food...it was pretty good. i told myself i would start up again after thanksgiving. i printed out 6-7 recipes and im going to the grocery store today to get the ingredients.
Pilar, has a chef that does her cooking, plus housekeepers and a husband whose life is dedicated to staying fit...and to top it all off she has the $$$$ to get all kinds of surgeries to stay fit. I am not saying that it is impossible to look like her but what I am saying is that your average everyday working woman with a husband and three children don't and won't look like that at 40!!!!
http://heyfranhey.com/ (Hey Fran Hey) is really good tumblr. She's adorable, sweet, intelligent and very encouraging. One of those types that wants to see everyone succeed. You'll find a lot of great recipes on her site. She also posts things about exercise, hair and natural beauty. Also note, she lifts, but maintains a curvy shape...so it's possible.
Me! Except for yesterday when i ate like I had lost my mind.
I eat mainly fish, baked chicken, vegetables, lean meats, and fruits.
My favorite is making up recipes for Salmon and chicken. When in doubt I will bake some Salmon and veggies in a heartbeat. Im talking that may be in my top 10 favorite dishes of all time. Its super filling and healthy.
As far as vegetables my favorites are cabbage, broccoli, and green beans. I love corn as well but I dont eat it as often.
I bake turkey pretty often as well and its great.
I love a grilled chicken caesar salad. That is the way to my heart. If you know a place that has a grilled chicken caesar salad let me know!!!
Also make sure you drink plenty of water. If you can do water 100% of the time then you are really a boss!

You're stereotyping. I posted a series of different smoothies, not all of them have bananas. And you cannot "drink" a solid. Smoothies are not solid foods; it's a drink.

Ladies, please don't fall to this excuse. While Pilar does have breast implants, she grinds at the gym and eats properly. Check her Instagram.
I know quite a few older sisters that are married with kids whom are fit and fab. Your body responds well at every age to a healthy lifestyle.
Staying truly active as an individual and family yields positive results. My sister and brother in law are prime examples. They are constantly doing active things with their kids (even in the winter) and both hit the gym regularly.
My sister cooks most of the family meals (by the way she is a working RN) so the family eats what she eats and she eats healthy.
Don't fall for the excuse that you cannot sculpt your body into something great, but you have to be committed and focused. Your consistency and proper diet can carve you some amazing tones abs. (even if you have a c section scar)
Having a great supportive spouse that is a true partner, helps too.
