Didn't get to see the original post but several of my co-workers' daugheters went to their proms with their girlfriends instead of dates. Apparently, that has become acceptable now.

My friends and I went to our prom together (my cousin and her friends did the same). We didn't want the stress and hassle of a date and "expectations". We had a unabashed, no strings attached ball, lol.

I went to school with a chick who brought her 35 yr old BF to her prom. Dude looked awkward az hell, wearing a tux (probably from HIS prom) and a thick azz mustache! Ohhhh the times.....LOL

I went dateless to my prom, matterfact alot of the girls where dateless. Its much better this way, atleast you don't have to worry about anyone following you the whole night or bothering you about dancing.
