Depending on your Web browser's settings, the first image to surface in Google Image's search engine could be an offensive image of the First Lady ostensibly photo-edited to resemble a monkey.
Originally spotted by Search Engine Roundtable, after a Google user reported it to a Google Web search help forum, the offensive image was apparently hosted by the Web site buzzoverm.blogspot.c om.
Google last week removed the image saying the site hosting the image was serving malware to visitors. But, the photo has turned up again, this time on another Web site, a "hot girls" blog.

Michelle is a beautiful, intelligent and highly sucessful black woman and clearly this makes some folk very intimidated, angry and bitter. The only way for them to feel better about their own miserable, lowly lives is to try to dehumanize the President and his wife. All it does is prove just how pathetic, immature and foolish these bigots are. The tides are changing and people don't want to accept it.

I just tried it and when you put her name in search and hit the "images" at the top, the first picture is what the OP posted here.

I'm just trying to be objective here, but I see it more as political backlash and less as racist. I say this because I was seeing Photoshopped pictures of Dubya before I was even aware of who Michelle Obama was. Google George Bush and you will definitely see some pics that portray him unfavorably. I do agree that it is disrespectful no matter who they do it to. And I have a HUGE problem with them doing that to Michelle Obama when they never targeted Bush's wife that way; that's just tasteless humor gone too far. I just don't think it's necessarily racist. But whoever did that to Michelle Obama can still kiss my ass.

This picture came from a site that had all types of celebrities (also white) changed to look like apes. I guess someone had a lot of time on their hands and wanted to envision how people would look if they were apes. I remember when I first saw this picture months ago, I was pissed until I saw the site. So they weren't singling her out or anything. However, some racist assholes have taken the picture and used it to bash Mrs. Obama personally.

It is racist because it is a monkey, a symbol which in and of itself when compared to an African or African American is racist. Period.

If they'd photoshopped her in with, say a Giraffe (because of her height), then maybe you'd have a point.
