Ladies and Gentlemen, is being called CUTE a diss?
Ladies and Gentlemen, do you like it when a man or woman calls you cute or does it irk you because you feel like (s)he views your attractiveness as a puppy or child? What do you prefer to be called when it relates to your attractiveness? Cute? Pretty? Sexy? Fine or Handsome? Beautiful or Gorgeous?
Men and Women, when you place a woman/man in a attractive category, does that mean you see her/him in a certain perspective that is likely set?
For Example: If you call a woman sexy, does that mean you just want to melt in her wet-wet?
Ex 2: Or ladies, if you call a man fine, does that mean you want him to blow your back out til' 5 in the morning?
Ex 3: Or if you call a woman beautiful, does that mean you can fall in love with her?
~Somewhat superficial thread but who cares?~

Re: Ladies and Gentlemen, is being called CUTE a diss?
Why should "cute" be an insult?
As long as someone uses a positive adjective to describe me, I don't have a problem.

Surprisingly some people consider that an insult or feel they surpass cute so feel like it's not a compliment.
I've heard a few woman who feel like cute should be regulated to puppies and babies so when a man calls them cute, they don't feel like it's a compliment.

No. Now if someone said my looks were interesting then I'd be super pissed.

Re: Ladies and Gentlemen, is being called CUTE a diss?
OP Idk why anyone would feel offended by someone calling them cute. I label men as cute all the time (perhaps it's due to my age factor) and only label inacessible men as sexy (i.e. celebrities, older men, etc). But reading your post has me overthinking the term. Like someone who is cute has potential to be sexy but its one thing about them that is holding them back (i.e. personality, weight, style). I swear LSA always has me over analyzing shit lmao

Re: Ladies and Gentlemen, is being called CUTE a diss?
To be honest, when I was a teenager, cute was cool but I don't like hearing it because I feel like I'm too old for cute. I'm not old, under 25 actually. I prefer hearing gorgeous because I feel like it's a super compliment.
When I call a man sexy, that means I can imagine being intimate with him and would love too.
If a call a man handsome, that means I see him as modelesque. If I call a guy cute, that means I want to just hug him tight and cuddle, lol.

Re: Ladies and Gentlemen, is being called CUTE a diss?
^^^It's funny you say that because my girlfriends in college use to debate the difference between cute vs. pretty. Like to be called pretty was better than being called cute. For me, it's all the same. A compliment is a compliment. Cute is cute. It's nothing to get offended over.
Now if they call you adorable then I'd be offended lol, j/k.

Re: Ladies and Gentlemen, is being called CUTE a diss?
I'm called sexy, all of the time and it used to offend me--cause its not all about sex.
and I am not here like that..but honestly, I do not care what folks think..
cute, I'd let it roll, but what's more embarrassing is when you can't think of anything positive to say about them--so there is this awkward silence for a minute.
I have heard someone say "she's cute" about a co-worker in a mean way-not nice.

Re: Ladies and Gentlemen, is being called CUTE a diss?
I think that when a man, refer's to a woman as being "cute", he's indicating that she is just that.
To that particular individual, the woman isn't drop dead gorgeous or unmistakenly beautiful; she's just cute decent to look at.
Beauty is defined in so many different ways. I've seen dudes consider a chick to be a bad bish and another look at her like ewww that bish is wack. People's opinions vary. Such is life...
