US Bank is offering Second Chance Checking. They will open an account for you for $25 even if you are in Chex Systems. HOWEVER, you cannot have any FRAUD on your Chex Systems report. (So all the hot check, credit card scamming groupies will not be eligible--LOL) There are stipulations though:
-No check writing for 30 days after opening it.
-No overdrafts. If you get one you're finished. Period.
The pluses:
-You can get rewards from your Visa check card that pays you back. And there are a lot of premium partners you can shop with to get even more cash back. Sounds like a plan.

I went to open a regular checking for the rewards benefits and because I hate Bank of America!! Wachovia is coming to L.A. so I gotta get one with them too!

I absolutely can't stand Bank of America. I put something on Bill Pay and they didn't even pay it. Found out when I started cussing another company out, but it was BOA. It F#cked up my whole day.
