look up the history of Chicano people in California.

"Fight" wasn't the best term to have said. But rather, "aid". It's not as if I'm planning on going to war for their race. But, I don't see a problem w/ being humane to those who are humane to me.
I don't see a need to shun all Latinos because of a few.

How come you people won't answer the other question posed? How come Latinos want us to help them fight, but weren't willing to help us fight? Can't find an answer that would spare their feelings huh?

Most Mexicans I've seen are mestizo or white looking.

Unlike PR's or Dominicans Cubans, there aren't really an abundance of black Mexicans.

Nat King Cole a Black entertainer had a show as well. His show was long before the civil rights amendment. Black people were still being lynched while a Black man had a TV show and he was loved as well....

But there are probably more Black Latinos than White Latinos. As for illegal immigration that seems to be more a Mexican vs. American thing so whatever.

It's about the same as for discrimination goes. Blacks don't get discriminated against no more than any other race. Every race faces some type of discrimination.

And Rita never mentioned her Mexican heritage... if it came up at all she would say she was mixed with European Spanish rather than Mexican.

Not that it would've made much of a difference since people didn't hate Mexicans like they hated blacks.

I actually asked some Hispanic friends parents how things were for them back in the 50's, 60's, etc. One of my friend's whose mother grew up in the 50's actually told me that they faced discrimination but it wasn't to the level faced by blacks. For example, they didn't have seperate schools, they were allowed to go to the same schools as whites, sit where they wanted on the bus if they rode the bus, etc. That right there let's me know, they had it better than my people. Did they suffer discrimination? Yes, but there's no way that it compared to what blacks went through.

Latinos didn't help US fight because who in their proper mind would want the white man to start burning down their schools and churches. It really is that simple. White Latinos here in America have assimilated well.
