Re: Would you want your wife...
I took my hubby's last name because "becoming one" with him in every sense was important to me and I think it's imperative in a marriage (becoming one). I couldn't see my husband and daughter having a different last name than I have. We're a family and hyphenating just seemed ridiculous. Holding on to my maiden name just wasn't that deep to me.

That's similar to what I did when I got married. I made my maiden last name into my second middle name, and I didn't hyphenate. I just tacked his name onto the end. So now my legal name has four parts.

I don't plan on getting rid of my last name, it means a lot to me as my father's deceased, but I will add on my husband's. I also plan on giving my child(ren) my husband's last name, no hyphen.

Yes, because she (and children) will have to continue the legacy.

I want to take my husband's last name. No hyphens, slashes, or dashes. If I was a man I would want my wife to take my name.

..That's a thing I'd never do.

Of course I would. I really don't know why I just like the thought of my wife having my last name. Maybe I just want to hear people call her by my last name or something.
Pretty sure while my husband and I were standing in the court house appling for a marriage license he looks at the clerk and asked her y does she still have to sign her old name? It was really cute but it definately sent me a message tht I would not have a choice in the matter and Im proud to do so
