Is this case holding up the murder case? Why has it been so long?
Nailah was brutally and senselessly murdered almost five years ago. Prayers are extended to her family on this sad anniversary of the loss of their daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend. As Reginald Potts remains incarcerated, I remain encouraged that one day justice will prevail for Nailah.
Lordy, Lordy, Lordy. Its seems like an eternity has passed and still no trial. I am thinking of Nailah's family this season. My prayers are still with this family and truly hope they can have some peace brought upon them.
Has anyone heard anything about an upcoming trial? Yes. RP is in jail, but why no trail after five long years. Is this simply Cook County justice in regards to the African American Community? Maybe a call to the States Attorney should be in order.. SMDH
I too think about Nailah and her family. I too wonder about the start of the trial. I am very glad that others periodically check in and are also attempting to follow the case until justice is served. I remain hopeful that one of the times I search her name and that of the pitiful rabid entity that is rotting in Cook County Jail, I will see that the trail has started. I hope that those in Chicagoland will contact the courts or state's attorney's office and post an update on the status of the trial. Let Potts continue to rot.
Nailah was murdered back in 07 by her ex boyfriend, at the time when she went missing he went on blogs saying that he didn't have anything to do with her being missing and then they found her body and security camera and cell phone records linked him to the murder. He got mad at her because she went on the internet and found out he had a huge criminal past and she went to the police to try and get protection against him and next thing she comes up missing.
That is how I came to LSA because I was trying to find out what happen to Nailah and every since then I got addicted to LSA.
I think he came on here, and some more forums. Articles that where talking about her being missing and saying he probably did it, he would comment and say he had nothing to do with it. He killed her in cold blood and didn't have any remorse.
The thread is long because there were/are many who were touched by the Nailah's senseless death. It continues as we await justice being served via the conviction of her murderer.

Reason: correction
I too found LipstickAlley while searching for information about Nailah's disappearance. I also remember posts that were purported to be linked to Potts or his minions. I also remember reading/hearing his interview with I believe Mary Murphy, a reporter for one of the Chicago newspapers wherein he denied his involvement in Nailah's disappearance. Topix Calumet City also had a thread about Nailah's disappearance that had a lot of comments back in 2007 and 2008.

Reason: removed the duplicate posting
Yes, ladies I too was drawn by the complete utterly madness of that young woman's murder, hence found LSA.
Its been too long, this idiot needed to be paraded around and mocked for the murderer he is. I do want this New Year to bring some closure for this family. Afterall its been five long hard years ... WAITING.
I will do what I can in terms of writing the DA here in Chicago to express my thoughts concerning this matter. Hope others can take the time to do the same, to bring this ass-hole to Court!! And let the Court say AMEN!! GUILTY!!
I can only say it was GODS calling that led me to join LSA and follow this case so closely, I have popped in over the years but have not posted in a long time, I have been saddend each time I see he has still not been convicted. The good thing is he is still in JAIL and I do hope they have enough evidence to finally give her family closure on this case! Hello to all, I hope everyone is doing well!
