Oxygen: "Gia" the Movie Starring Angelina Jolie
Anybody watching this now? It was on earlier when I left to have a quick dinner...just arrived home and it's on again from the beginning...
Anyway, this is a good movie. I saw it a couple of times on HBO...they cut out more on regular tv...but the storyline about the model Gia is really good...sad story though.

Actually, it's on my Netflix to watch. Ms Carangi was one of the first famous people to die of AIDS. It's a shame she never found the happiness she was looking for. Thing Of Beauty is a book about Gia

If I remember correctly, I believe Janice Dickinson was involved with the movie project and was a friend of Gia's or at least partied w/ her back in Janice's drugs, sex and rock-n-roll days that Janice refers to about that period in her life.

Wonderful movie, but sad nonetheless. I never miss an opportunity to watch it when it comes on so yes, I did see some of it a few hours ago. Gia was one of the best models. She did the "smiling with your eyes thing" before Ms. Banks. Here's a clip from one of many documentaries on her life. The entire series if very interesting:

I love this movie and I love to watch it everytime it comes on.... her life was really bitter sweet. She lived her life her way unfortunately. Angelina did a great job keeping her memory alive.

Oh I wish I could see this movie. When they first started filming the movie, cosmo did an article on it. They had Gia's cosmo cover side by side with Angie's and the resemblance was uncanny!
