I believe I read somewhere a while back that they don't get paid. I can never find any updates on the dancers from that era.
It kind of ended for me when I found out that although Don was married to a woman (white) that he was also a backdoor kind of man, if you get what I am saying.

Why was I flipping the channels on Saturday and thought I would just die? The whole Soul Train image is busted. Where is my chinese lady with the long, straight hair down past her booty? Where is my girl that use to dance two beats faster than the music while continuously shaking her "mushroom" hairdo full of body? Where is my girl that use to crawl on all fours like a cat?
Soul Train looks like their dancers are still in high school. Truthfully, I knew it was all down-hill when Don Cornelius stopped hosting years ago. New host Dorian Haywood...WTF???
Yes, the show sucks azz. It looks too fake now....something about the people, the set and the host, just don't seem right.

Jeffrey is living in London, England, happy and doing well. Most of the dancer are still in touch with each other, in fact you can reach out to some of them at www.soultrainfan.com
Don didn't pay the dancers, who made Soul Train the hit show it was but Don C will never admit that, he treated the dancer like shyt and still does. He's a very trouble soul, never happy, always grey ashey looking, kinda like he sold his soul to the devil.

@Jeffrey...I hope as he has aged that he is no longer into the drug thing. And did he really kick Stephanie Mills out of a moving car when they were married?
@Don...I know what you mean. He never looked happy on the show until Barry White came on. He loved the hell outta The Maestro...as he always referred to him.

Jeffrey in to drugs ????, I've Jeffrey for many years and the only drug I've known him to addicted to is Asian women. No he didn't kick Stephanie how of a moving car but Stephanie did have a major case of Stalker in her, she even broke into JD's house when they broke up and tried to attack Jeffrey's then girlfriend, he had to have her physically removed from the house.
Don: Last time I saw him was at a function at Neverland ranch, almost didn't recognize him from all that pancake makeup he was wearing, boy did he look really bad, maybe it's Karma.
They have started showing Soul Train from the 70s yesterday. Check your local listenings. They shown Barry White. Next week they are going to do the same thing.
I watched yesterday's episode featuring War and Main Ingredient. Jody Watley was dancing her behind off in the crowd. The Soul Train line was hilarious. I hope they show some of the 80's episodes.
