He wasnt running again but supposedly the other Repubs were pissed at him for making them look even more heartless than they are "perceived" to be :/

Also when the news of this first broke a few days ago I was reading comments on the CNN website and there are many people out here that believe the unemployment shouldnt be extended because "people need to get off their lazy butts and work at walmart/mcdonalds and not live off of government help"

We the People don't flex enough, I think. We need to constantly remind these people that they work for US. That if it wasn't for US, they wouldn't have a job.

They need to be reminded of that constantly, not just on big issues.

and I bet those same people have jobs, and if they do lose their job and get out here looking for a job THEN they will see why unemployment needs to be extended when no one is calling them back, not even mcdonalds...

exactly. there were too many comments for me to read but i dont remember any of those people saying that they were currently unemployed or had been laid off due to this economy etc.

When people were telling them that they have looked everywhere for jobs the response was "well move"

They cut unemployment for people who were working, but not for people on welfare who aren't working but keep breeding. Priorities.

A lot of people who gave damn near half their life working a job and got laid off or fired aren't gonna be able to find jobs because most employers don't hire older people. Its fucking pathetic and if that guy would have continued to block the lazy American public would have took to the streets like they did in EVERY other country when the government was fucked up (i.e., Iceland and Argentina). The thing that prevents American's from controlling their politicians is that we have too many distractions in television so we don't do anything until shit really hits the fan. This country is in soo much trouble but all we care about is bread and circus. Its gonna be sad when food shortages come in a few short years.
