“Ultimately,” Huckabee concluded, “We don’t have a crime problem or a gun problem – or even a violence problem. What we have is a sin problem. And since we ordered God out of our schools and communities, the military and public conversations, you know, we really shouldn’t act so surprised when all hell breaks loose.”
In an article published on OneNewsNow, evangelical Jerry Newcombe wrote:
“I can’t help but feel that to some extent, we’re reaping what we’ve been sowing as a society. We said to God, “Get out of the public arena.” Lawsuit after lawsuit, often by misguided “civil libertarians,” have chased away any fear of God in the land — at least in the hearts of millions.”
Why, then, do the more Godless countries of Europe have so many fewer mass shootings? ...Perhaps more disturbing were Newcombe’s comments on a segment on the American Family Association dedicated to understanding the shooting tragedy in Colorado. In taking about the deaths, Newcombe separated the afterlife fate of those who died as Christians and those who did not:
“If a Christian dies early, if a Christian dies young, it seems tragic, but really it is not tragic because they are going to a wonderful place.. on the other hand, if a person doesn’t know Jesus Christ.. if they knowingly rejected Jesus Christ, then, basically, they are going to a terrible place.”
...[M]any of you have probably heard U.S. Congressman Louie Gohmert’s unspeakably stupid remarks... that the shootings are the result of “ongoing attacks on Judeo-Christian Beliefs”:
“People say … where was God in all of this? We’ve threatened high school graduation participations, if they use God’s name, they’re going to be jailed … I mean that kind of stuff. Where was God? What have we done with God? We don’t want him around.”

What a fucking idiot. Christian or not, this is a terrible tragedy. How about offering a simple condolences to all victims of this mess; idiots stay putting religion into everything. I'm a Chrisitan, and I'm disgusted by what Huckafool said.

I just knew that it wouldn't be long before one of them would say something stupid like this. Really?? If you can't say something that's sympathetic, is it that difficult to just refrain from sounding like some "holier-than-thou" asshole?? This isn't the first time he's made comments like this, plus he's supposed to be an ordained minster? He's another Christian Conservative nutcase who I wish would just stop talking...

I don't think you understand where he is coming from. If you have no respect for God or life, then more than likely you will have no problem killing people just for the heck of it. Treating them like animals. You may disagree with his assertions, but when people think there is no consequences for killing people, they tend to do things like this..

God order the mass murder of all those who would no join his religion. It was one of the many God ordained massacres recorded in the King James Version Bible. To be clear, these are children of God slaughtering innocent men, women, boys and girls because thy would not join their God's religion.
But I know how this works; Christians see scriptures like this and in their heart of hearts, they know that it is bloody murder anyway they toss it. They cannot ignore that fact. But many of them put on a smiley face and act is if they agree with the carnage because they are convinced that the God they serve will send the soldiers of Christ to slit their throats, curse them and then cast them into hell if they object to his brutal savagery.
What type of people with a heart of love, can read about any God ordering pregnant women to be slaughtered and babies dashed into the ground and killed and then LIFT UP THEIR HANDS and LIFT UP THEIR VOICES and SING THE PRAISES OF THAT GOD?

I am a Christian and love God with all my heart soul &mind; I zealously receive the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior BUT what these people are saying is horse dung. The Bible states that the rain falls on the just as well as the unjust. I know that there were Christians somewhere In that theatre and probably some that were even killed or wounded. The church kills me allllllllllllwayz blaming the world for what happens. When the church has failed In its responsibility for defending the faith cuz we are acting worse than the world. You can no longer tell the difference......judg ement begins at the House of God NOT at the White House nor the Aurora theatre. Yet the church has ministers that have been convicted of murders, raping children, homosexual/lesbian relationships, adultery, fornication, cheating, stealing, arrogance, etc......u get my point. Evil is evil and is manifests itself in different ways.....sometimes it shows up in a movie theatre and sometimes its preaching in the pulpit on any Sunday or Wednesday.

That's not what he said or what I implied. When people have no conscious or don't care about reprecussions they do crazy things. It has nothing to do with God ordained this evil. Where did you get that from? Also read the whole story before quoting a verse under the law in the old testament that you don't understand.
