Cocky Gospel Singers

Why are gospel singers so COCKY? I met Karen Clark Sheard and she was a BITCH! Have anyone ever met a Gospel singers who were just COCKY? If so please feel free to share your story.

Just curious... EXACTLY what did Karen Clark Sheard do or say to you that makes her Cocky... etc? I noticed you asked about some "tea" on her in another thread.

I've never met her but, I don't get that vibe from her but, then again I've never personally met her to make any other conclusion.

Hey hey hey hey hey....... I too have met all the Clark Sisters and they were sweet as pie! They sang at a Christmas musical at my church hundreds of years ago when I was in high school and they were kind to the whole choir. Are you "nice" all the time. I know I'm not...especially if I'm hungy. I think folks are human and all of us have bad days. What happened?

I just like to here them sang! Never even wanted to know about any of their personalities. Maybe, on the day you met her she was not having a great day.

Well i wanted to see if it ayone else had experiences what i had. I was a driver for her ,and she was really COLD and MEAN! She didn't want me to say anything to her! She had a real DIVA attitude.

some people don't like to talk when they are going to or from somewhere. sometimes I drive just to have quiet time for myself. AND....people put gospel singers up on pedestals. As if they are holier than thou. They are not. They are human beings like everyone else. Some are good, some are bad...some are indifferent.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh !!!!! well.... ok..... but, maybe she was in "deep meditation/or praying" and maybe that's why she didn't want to be bothered. ORRRRRRRRRR.... maybe she just wanted a "quiet, peaceful" ride and didn't want to be bothered.

Seriously, did she say, "Don't talk to me", or... "Turn around and drive this car and don't say nothing to me".... or was it more like you said "hi" and she was like "umm (smacking of the lips/rolling of the eyes )".

Just saying.... (no disrespect....just making an observation on the little information here...)

lol...She had the DIVA attitude with EYE ROLLS! I asked her was the air to much for her she just turned and looked out the window! I did not even get a "HELLO" from her!

You should have blasted her CD or something in the car (lol - just kidding)... Bet she would have smile and had some conversation for you then - lol !!!

Karen gave a concert at my church last year and I was appointed as her assistant for the day. She was one of the most nicest and pleasant artists we've had. The next week she sent "Thank You" cards to myself and other people like our church's singers who did background for her thanking us for our hospitality and professionalism. I still have my card. Now HER SISTER....she wasn't as nice but since she was nice on past occasions, I forgive her.


Other artists who are cocky....Mary Mary (the one with the red hair), Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Shirley Caesar, and Donald Lawrence.

I was really UPSET with how she treated me. Yes, i did call her a BITCH,because that is what she acted like. I guess i was just the only one she did not like.
