The descendants of Ham (Canaan, Ham's son) was cursed, not Ham himself. God could not curse Ham when he was already blessed by God. Many scholars say the African races descended from this one son.
Remember, Noah had 3 sons, Shem Ham and Japeth. All races are accordingly from these 3 sons.

I will try and post a chart if I can.
It's not so much in the Bible...it's in how it has been interpreted or should I say misinterpreted. Most often the curse of Ham has been used to justify slavery.
However as you pointed out OP the mark of Cain has also been misinterpreted to be a curse of Black Skin
have interpreted the Biblical passages so that the "mark" is thought to be part of the "curse". In 18th century America and Europe, it was commonly assumed that Cain's "mark" was black skin[
], and that Cain's descendants were black and still under Cain's curse. While the majority, if not all, of Cain's descendants would have been killed in the great flood, Latter-day Saints from the late 19th to mid 20th century believed that Cain's bloodline was preserved on the ark through
, accepted by Latter-day Saints as part of their canon, is the source of the story of this Egyptus who preserves "the curse.... as pertaining to the Priesthood" by surviving the flood as Ham's wife. One must note, however, that in this canonized source no connection is made between her and Cain (her lineage is not given), nor is anything mentioned concerning her skin color. Thus, though Latter-day Saints combined the widespread belief that Cain's curse was a blackness of skin with another racist idea common in Europe and America (that the
for seeing his father's nakedness was black skin), the idea that Ham's wife preserved a curse of black skin inherited from Cain that was passed on is not canonized doctrine.
Re: Exactly where in the bible does it say God Cursed Black People?
last i knew the bible didn't explicitly say that black people were the cursed offspring. it is some people's religious interepretation that blacks are the cursed people because their skin is black/brown and their hair is different. do i believe that? no--i think that opinion is based on racist opinions of black people. just my 2 cents.

I will have to scan the chart...but here is the information from a Bible study class:
Japheth and his descendants went northward. Gomer, Japheth’s sons is the progenitor of the ancient Galatians, and Phrygians (Gauls and Celts) later Germans, French, Welsh, Irish and other Anglo Saxon races. Magog is the progenitor of the Scythians and Tartars whose descendants predominate modern Russia.
Shem is the progenitor of the Shemites. Shem’s line was the progenitor line the Messiah was to come through (Luke 3:23-36). Shem’s descendants settled in countries surroundings Palestine and displaced the Canaanites (who were the descendants of Ham).
Ham is the progenitor of the Egyptians, the Cushites , and the Canaanites.

Not completely true...it has been documented that since Ham's seed was the Cushites (Africa) that the black race did develop from his lineage. But it does not mean blacks are cursed or were to be slaves as some people teach.
But all of this to say...NONE OF US KNOWS THE TRUTH...Only God's Word and the Holy Spirit confirms fact from fiction.

WRONG. Noah cursed CANAAN, Ham's son because he (Ham) offended Noah while he was sleeping after leaving the ark and found him naked and made fun of him, and whatever else he may have done. READ YOUR BIBLE!!!!!
Genesis 9:21-27 gives you the CORRECT ANSWER TO Ham's son being cursed.
Scripture to back up my post:
Genesis 9:21-29 (King James Version)
21And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent.
22And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.
23And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness.
24And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.
25And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.
26And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.
27God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.

I've never heard blacks being attributed to Cain...I don't know where that fallacy came from. The black race is supposedly tied to Noah's grandson Ham.
But I can research more and get back to you.
I have my Masters in Religion from a Christian University and I'm in training to be a minister to preach and what I just read about Cain and the mark had nothing to do with the black race...Only God knows what the mark was...not even Cain knew. But that mark protected him so he would not be killed since God sent him out of the land to be a wanderer.

True.
Anyway, maddawg and delores broke it down. The bible doesn't say Black people were cursed. . .racists interpreted the scriptures in such a way to justify their racism.
Re: Exactly where in the bible does it say God Cursed Black People?
I'm no biblical scholar, but I've never read anywhere in the Bible that says the black race is cursed.
I think the reason many believe this is because of slavery. Like for centuries blacks were in bondage etc...so we must be the cursed race. Also, racist people will say that blacks are cursed, because way back in time, having black skin was deemed an automatic curse, evil, darkness etc... while white was a representation of purity.
