Jamal Bryant
Is he still in the pulpit or has the church booted him out. He was alleged to have impregnated a 17 year parishioner. He, the pastor, is married with children.

Check out the Religious forum, under Pimp Slap. There are several threads dedicated to his antics. And, yes, he's impregnated a least one young parishioner since he's been married.
I think the people that stay and listen to him can probably relate to him. He is a man who obviously has a zipper problem. And he sure ain't the only one, unfortunately. At least he has admitted to this. The people in his church who have similar issues are probably glad to see someone in his position who has gone through this. It makes the pastor seem more on their level I guess. Of course what he did was dead wrong. This is just my opinion on why some of the members stayed. I've never visited that church, but I like watching them on the internet on Sundays. That is the vibe I get from the congregation.

She was not 17.
She supposedly had another baby. Which resulted in his wife suing him for adultery.
His father is the Sr Bishop. So know he has not been fired.
He lost some members.
Remember, it took 10 years for David Brown, former owner of the building Jamal is in, to loose it due to his philandering.

As someone told me that was in David Brown's circle. Church was full. THey were tourists who did not put money in the plate.
Those who attend that are not tourists, may have the same issues. Listening to Jamal allows them not to change the issues. Jamal justifies their negative behavior.
I think most of them are there for fashion. The latest trendy church.
Walter Thomas will be opening a church next year just a mile away. Those fashion Christians will be attending that one.
Growing up in New Shiloh I watched it go from the church in Baltimore to what it is now. FOlks went to New Shiloh, then to Bethel, THen to New Psalmist, then to Living Word. Eventually Jamal came along and he was it.
