Taking Pictures are Unlawful for Christians

Pictures of anything that is already visible or has been visible in the earth are graven images. It also says not to make graven images of anything of the likeness of anything in the heaven above either. Jesus is in Heaven.... so all these unlawful makings of pictures floating around of what Jesus SUPPOSEDLY looks like drawn and painted by people WHO WEREN'T LIVING WHILE HE WAS HERE nor have NEVER seen him should make you stop and go: hmmmmmmm

A picture (whether painted or photgraphed) is a firmly fixed image. Therefore, taking pictures of ourselves or anything else would qualify as a graven image because it is a firmly fixed image/replica of something in the earth (we're in the earth).

Words have double meanings and satan is playing on alot of ignorance of that fact.

if nothing else, i hope this troller proves a point to some of the other holy rollers on this site that the bible shouldnt be interpreted LITERALLY. This is an issue within the Islamic religion as well....it is forbidden to make any pictures of living creatures, and hang them in your home.

The reasons behind it were because of past nations of people making figures or statues of holy men, and later on future generations would find them and leave of their message and begin to worship the figures.
IT is absolutely true that people begin to focus on the images they created rather then the true aspect of worship. Even in small ways people begin to idolize the images they put up, and think more highly of them then is deserved. Such as is the case with the image of JEsus that we know is fabricated, but see everywhere.
My grandmother on my father's side is Christian, and we've been trying to convince her to take that picture down for a while now.

Most people would prefer to interpret religous doctrine to suit their desires. This would actually be an interesting discussion if people were more open.

Here's what people need to realize....when you stand before God, is He gonna look at you and tell you you're going to hell because you took pictures, or had pictures? God is not some monster like even some Christians make Him out to be.

Jesus just recently like within a few weeks made me aware of this.

Therefore, he is not going to hold us accountable for what we did ignorantly in the past when we repent.

Now that I know, I took down my pictures from off of my facebook profile.... i'm about to take my pictures off of myspace too.
