Why is that all other "religions" can be themselves, but Christians get shut down all the time?

I dislike strongly the way people label Christians. It's nit about the character of us, it's the what we stand for and represent that irks people's nerves and causes them to get dramatic about Christians over all. If we didn't have certain beliefs that somehow makes people feel like our beliefs are a detriment to the freedom ofmankind people wouldn't be so ove dramatic about Christians. When in reality other religions are or are similar to what Christians believe in.And yet they never recieve the same backlash and or criticism, makes you wonder huh?

Also I find it ironic on how people can whine and complain about christians being too out spoken and loud but yet so are the people speaking against Christians. So are people who march against their rights in society so why doesn't anyone get upset with them?

Makes you wonder huh? I think people need to let the spoiled brat mentality go about Christians and broaden their mindset to understand this preferred perception angry people have placed on Christians DOES NOT represent the whole. Isn't that how some people feel Christians should see things? So I suggest some people take their own advice, before they speak.

'cause Christians make a mockery of their own religion. You don't really hear about a sex or embezzlement scandal involving a Rabbi or a Buddhist Monk....

Example:

A Christian pastor says he is against gay marriage because he believes the sanctity of marriage should be between a man & a woman, YET this same married pastor has about 2-3 mistresses on the side, so where is the sanctity in that...WTH, how do expect people to respect the Christian religion when sooooo many Christians (not all) are hypocrties and fake. We say one thing, but our actions are completely contrary to what we preach to the world. So how do you expect people to take Christians seriously?

That was a dumb thread title, embarrassing thread title. Christians aren't always being shut down, by virtue of being a Christian though, there are supposed to be rules around how you deal with people, preventing you from shutting down others by any means necessary. Whereas people without that type of spiritual conscience don't seem to hold back.

What I've noticed, at least on this board, is some of the Christian posters seem a bit naive, and some of the opposing posters can be crude in their efforts to attack when they see an opportunity.

Why do you care? God sees everything and the debbil is busy, even on this board, it's obvious, even in some people's avatars. You shouldn't worry so much about what people think, especially a bunch of anonymous people on some gossip board. Worry about your own salvation and perhaps other people's salvation.

No we aren't. That's the government.... and they do it with force, yet I don't see you trying to overthrow them.

We Christians are trying to help you be saved from eternal damnation in fire. You can't blame us for that. That's love.

We have the liberity to say the heck with em, let em burn, just as long as we've got the truth.

But we understand that our savior Jesus Christ could've also said the heck with us, he was already in heaven.... but he didn't. So now we've got to return the favor.

That's all.

But if you don't want the free gift of eternal life from Jesus, that's fine. But it's also rude to get mad when someone offers it. But that's okay, we don't love you any less.

We can not and will not force it upon you.

It doesn't make me wonder. Like I said, the squeakiest wheel gets the grease. You don't see other religions acting nearly as ignorant as christians, despite their similarities. Mostly because they don't have the numbers. But as their numbers grow, you'll see them acting a fool as well.

There is too much knowledge and truth available in this information age for ANYBODY to be ignorant of the TRUE nature of Jesus and his true gospel!!

First of all, the commandment says thou shalt not kill, therefore, they had no business killing folk.

Just because certain people used chrisitianity WRONGLY as a way to abuse others.... that does NOT make christianity the bandit. Christianity was was wrongly abused just as well as the victims.

The truth of Jesus Christ is WIDELY available and when he returns, you will have NO excuse.

And it's that simple.
