Troubled pop diva Whitney Houston took the stage Monday night for a surprise performance at Antonio "L.A." Reid's 37th birthday party. Houston received a standing ovation for her first post-rehab performance, belting out hits such as "The Greatest Love of All", "Try it On my Own", and the singer's infamous trademark smash "I Will Always Love You". Witnesses informed press, who were restricted from entering the event, that Houston appeared very fraily and had a more skelatal appearence than in months before her second rehab stint began in March 2005. Party goers complained that while her rail thin appearence was frightening, there could be no complaints about her singing, which "sounded stronger than ever" & reflected "the old Whitney". Houston is currently planning to release a new album this fall with mentor Clive Davis, who assures fans it will be full of "Whitney Houston music".
