You just made my point for me. Omarosa wants to be known as a tv villain or as the only thing Bethenny said about her "Be Infamous". Thats not a brand or product, it is a role. If she falls out of reality tv favor, then she cant fall back on that "role" as a product. Bethenny is a chef and entrepreneur. She has used the shows to promote those things specifically. Even if Bethenny played a role, she was smart enough to step outside of that role and make sure she had her career (chef, entrepreneur) set up to be successful. Omarosa's response to this situation was excessive and immature. You cant watch that scene and say that Bethenny's comment warranted those type of comments. Omarosa's response was typical of her role and not that of an educated woman.
Thing is Bethanny wasn't playing a role, she was being herself which some consider witty, that brought attention to her brand. Hopefully Omarosa was playin' the role as villian cuz if she's like that in reali life she needs her ass kicked. I see what you're saying being a villian doesn't promote your brand, it just gets you more airtime. Now if you can parlay that airtime into something significant is the key. Not Surreal LIfe or a whack ass dating show on BET, but an actual product or show that is taken seriously like Elizabeth Hasselbeck did with the view. I'm glad Omarosa was able to extend her 15 min of fame, but she's going to have to come up with a schnick if she wants to be around an hour longer other than villian.
