Re: The New Breed Of White Guys!
LOL, I can let artists like Jon B, Robin Thicke and even Paul Wall slide, because they don't seem to be putting on a front. I can even go for Bieber's lil act, cool.
But I've had some interesting experiences w/ white guys and their perception of "blackness."
I dated an italian guy in HS, who had this genuine urban style to him. He was cool and only dated black women but a big cheater. Because I'd known him since middle school I knew that his personality was genuine.
One of my roommates was dating this "wigger" type and invited him and one of his friends over to our dorm one night. This motherfucka was layin the "blackness" on extra thick. Talking about black men can't put it down like white men, he acts "blacker" than we do, he knows the black struggle, he only dates black women and a whole bunch of other bull. Me and my other roommate decided to pick his brain. Come to find out, this dude is from the suburbs up the street. I LMAO when we found out cuz I knew something just was not right with his act.
I spent a semester in Greece my junior year of college. One of my classmates was this cute nerdy, hip hop loving white guy from Cali. I was the only black person in my class, but I connected with him the most because we could both relate to certain situations. I had the biggest crush on this kid. He threw me off a bit when he asked me if I'd seen the movie "Good Hair" and even suggested that I wear my hair natural. I had forgot about this down the line but toward the end of the semester, I took my micros out and wore my natural hair in a twist out. When I came to class, he was smiling so hard like "OMG, I love your hair. That's how I wanted you to wear it." I didn't know whether to laugh or say thank you. But I just found it interesting.
Aite, I'm done here lol
