I must be the only one who thinks what Tim did wasn't that bad? He's been down that road before so I don't fault him for trying to keep his nephew from it. They made it seem like he full on fought Charles and Andre. I think he's frustrated with his mom because she talks a lot of shit but doesn't follow through. How many times has she fired Charles? How many times did she let him back? He might have been wrong for hitting them but I got his point. Kids with smart ass mouths will take you there sometime. Ms. Robbie needs to see the bigger picture sometimes. Keep coddling them and see what happens to the business when she dies. If she thinks Charles is lazy now, imagine how he's gonna act when she's gone.
I totally agree with you, Tim said that at Andre's age he didn't have strong enough discipline from his family and he ended up in prison. He also said that not only was Andre messing up at the restaurant, but he was also f'ing up in school. At his age, he needs tough love, and as much as I adore Miss Robbie she's not going to do it.
I was actually really glad that Charles left the store to go and get a dog. That showed that Tim was right and Charles was immature.
That's the thing, Andre doesn't have a dad to stand up for him. So Tim felt he could get away with that shit. He might have slapped a cup out of Charles' hand but he didn't assault Charles cuz he knows Big Charles would have stepped to him.
I think Tim has some resentment towards his dead brother as well that he takes out on Andre. He wasn't thrilled about Andre coming from jump; but he understands that the boy needs some discipline and direction and wanted to give him a fresh start.
I don't like when Tim and Charles say they don't like each other and when Andre first came, Charles said he can't stand Andre. That makes me sad for family members to feel that way about each other. There's a lot going on behind the scenes and under the surface that none of us will ever know about.
Ms. Robbie should have handed Timmy to Jenae and slapped FIRE out of Charles for bustin in there cryin like that though. What in the entire fuck?? He might as well had climbed his big crybaby ass up in Timmy's crib and just chilled out there. Andre got PUNCHED with them big ass lunch lady arms and he wasn't bawlin. Charles' lil glass of tea got slapped to the ground and his face was all broke up like his "puppee" had died or something. Ol' soft ass runnin around with a damn "puppee". Let him had said "puppee" one more damn time! And what is he doing with a boxer? He must be getting bullied and wanted a big dog for intimidation purposes b/c aint no way Charles' frail ass can handle a big clumsy ass boxer. That dog will have him running and screamin like a bitch once she's full grown.
Last week I was distracted during this part. But I just rewatched it attentively. And you're right! She should've slapped every ounce of estrogen out of his crying ass. Did he really run up in there like a 10 year old telling on his older brother for snatching his candy?
Tim's stressed out, frustrated ass punched the hell out of Andre (who handled it like a real man, I must say) but he didn't go runteldat. It didn't come out until the night Charles went running into Janae's like a lil' girl. You can tell the incidents happened on different dates b/c he was wearing braids during the punch scene and a short cut at Janae's.
I still think Tim was all kinds of wrong. He had the nerve to say talk to him like a grown man he'd handle it like a grown up. First, he's NOT a grown man nor was he talking like one. He was talking/acting like a 17 yo. And grownups do NOT resort to fighting to solve issues.
