Due any day now with a son, the mom-to-be shares her fave features from her Napa Valley, Calif., baby room
To give her Napa Valley, Calif., nursery an intimate feel, PEOPLE blogger Tamera Mowry-Housley and husband Adam Housley enlisted celebrity designer Shalena Smith. And the decorator to the stars didn't disappoint. Smith expertly blended the couple's personal items with a vintage, Americana style to create a chic kids room the new family will enjoy forever.
Highlighted throughout the nursery are vintage antiques Adam has had in his family for generations, including a toy plane that was hand carved out of metal by an Italian prisoner of World War II and given to Adam's grandfather, an American soldier, for his kindness.
Smith personalized these blocks, sold at her online boutique Gaga Designs, for Baby Housley and elegantly placed them atop the Newport Cottages changing table purchased from Bel Bambini in West Hollywood. In the mirror's reflection, you can see the custom canvas featuring one of the couple's favorite quotes, "It's kind of fun to do the impossible."
Adam is a former professional baseball player and huge San Francisco Giants fan so the team's starting first baseman, Brandon Belt, gifted the expecting couple a mini jersey. "It's the perfect addition to our nursery," Mowry-Housley tells PEOPLE.
It looks like her and Tia are continuing the tradition their mother started of using the first letter of the father to name the children. Like Tia uses 'C' for Cory, and it looks like Tamera is using 'A' for her baby. Cute.
Congrats to her and Adam.
Joan Clayton: My mother always said, "When love runs out on you, God sends you love's equivalent... or better." Toni Childs: I thought she said, "When you run out of love's lubricant, use butter." Joan Clayton: What? Toni Childs: What? Your momma does mumble. And we both know she's a freak.
