Re: Video: What if Being Gay Were the Norm?
Well, then I'd be "abnormal"!
I just watched that video and it was very sad. It was weird to comprehend, but the message still sad nonetheless. I'd never personally feel that way or make it my life's purpose to try to hurt someone just for being different than me. I'll never understand why people hate what they fear and don't understand, rather than trying to expand their mind to understand and possibly embrace it.

So deep. I'm going to share this on facebook. I have some Christians on there that need to see this.
ETA: This isn't about being scientifically correct, it's about teaching a lesson-put yourself in the other person's shoes so to speak. I'm sure you guys know this, you just don't want your views challenged.

Well it is very creative and a good movie to show the effects of bullying, but Gay being the norm didn't even look normal in the video. No laying with the opposite sex unless it's breeding season? so for Gay to be norm, they still have to have breeding seasons, sounds like a good premise for a scifi movie. I would actually like to see the Hollywood version. The writer could make some good money sending this script to a Hollywood director.
I'm just being an ass. But it wouldn't work. Didn't watch the video, but what was the purpose? I mean, I get enough flak for being black and nerdy with a big forehead. Can't say I fantasized about a world full of fivehead Negro brainiacs. Who does that?
Dont nobody care to.drive by houses to yell out gay slurs. This must be for small town gays....
Joking aside asd well as science think.of the message. This girl is feeling what comes natural qnd normal as well as harmless to her yet she is being bewten, teased and alienated for it. Imagine being in a world where everybody hates you, say ure nasty and harmful to.society are disease breeders, have no right to be in love with the person you love. Imagine how depressing your life would be if you are kicked out and rejected by family, having to figure how to deal with love on your own, not taught safe sex, no real.love in your life . All because you care about the same sex. What is the point of living when you cant get a job because you feel more comofrtabke in a suit and tie that hugs ur woman curves or your voice is a little high pitched and a sway in your walk with your shapeless man hips.
Put all the breed season and what looks natural.asside and get to the heart of the issue. People are bwing harrassed and bullied to the point of suicide.
@Templerun, sorry if you did not like the SCIFI comment, but the "Breeding Season" reference put it into that category. The thing is being gay and bisexual is very much accepted in schools now. I have teens and work with the teen population and I haven't heard of teens being bullied or beat up to that extreme because they are gay. Except for her committing suicide the video could have been a comedic scifi spoof. That's just my opinion. Being Gay isn't a "norm" and as a straight person I feel like the girl in the film, being bullied by Gay people for being straight so.
