Barbie never struck me as a super inclusive doll brand like brats, but props to her for this. No sugar coating. Just facts
Wasn't Barbie was of the first non/black owned doll companies to be inclusive...their first black doll came out in the 1970's which is kind bad it took 20 years to get a black doll out but other non/ black companies weren't dong that...
The first African American doll in the Barbie range is usually regarded as Christie, who made her debut in 1968. Black Barbie was launched in 1980 but still had Caucasian features.
The 20 years part is what I meant about not being inclusive. Compared to Bratz where 3/4 of the dolls were WOC from the jumpWasn't Barbie was of the first non/black owned doll companies to be inclusive...their first black doll came out in the 1970's which is kind bad it took 20 years to get a black doll out but other non/ black companies weren't dong that...

Barbies voice sounds old.
Let toys be toys. Goodness.
i love same and mickey on youtube they do barbie parodies where it's realistic and so funny...
Yes! I love them too. Barbie is so dysfunctional in those parodies, she doesn’t even try to hide that her sisters are her actual children. Lmao and how Ken left her for a Bratz too

But I am not denying barbie's impact. She has a diverse skill set and 50-11 degrees
Even in the 2000s how many doll lines were majority poc? Not including the racists Flavas dolls.
Barbie came out in the 50s. How does it make sense to compare that to a toy that appeared in the new millennium?

Coming out in thr 50s, doesn’t give barbie’s creators a pass imo
Thank you, I willBlack people didn't even have the right to vote until the 60s, but go off.
