No face, no case.
Guys help me out with something.
Long story short, my mother photoshopped a photo of herself and posted it on social media.
When she was doing it, my sisters and I were telling her how unnecessary, obvious and embarrassing it was. She of course is bull headed and still did it.
My grandmother mentioned how nice the picture looked. It was all 3 of her girls, plus my moms photoshopped stomach.
I said, “that photoshopped photo?” Amazed she’d actually gone through with it and she went off. I’m so judgmental and a hater is essentially what she said. I can admit, I have no filter, so what I think is what I say. I didn’t mean any offense by it, but I was just amazed. It just came out.
Not only did I not want her to do it for the reasons previously mentioned, but it bothered me that she’s always mentioning how I should be ok with my body image. She tells me I cover up too much and have little self confidence. Also, she’s always been critical on social media and it’s impact on mental health. As a principal, she always mentions how it only does two things, starts fights between kids and cause insecurities in kids. The insecurity part is that they don’t realize that the things people post aren’t always the reality. (Bodies included). So, it just amazed me that this same woman thought this was ok.
Am I wrong here? Won’t be offended if you say I am.
