Girl, Runaway. me calling you fake isn't hostility.
I did back up my claim by posting my Billboard article, from whom i got my info from. You've yet to prove why Rihanna isn't the 2nd best-selling female of all time. Even people in the music industry are relying on ChartMaster (Where Rihanna is right behind Madonna on the list they made) but here you are talking about "ShE's not the 2nd Best selling female artist of all time, a simple poster on LSA.
We all get that in those lists they count everything to make the list of the Best selling artist. Nobody said otherwise, but it's not like Rihanna never sold anything in Physical sales either... She actually sold enough physical, add to that her big digital numbers, which is why she gets 2nd place as the Best selling Female Artist of all time.
It's fine that you don't respond. I'll stay in my position; you stay in yours. Meanwhile, all these platforms that count sales are claiming that Rihanna indeed the 2nd Best selling Female Artist of all time, while you have yet to prove otherwise. And I know that Rihanna isn't even paying PR for these things ... The girl doesn't even like being put on a pedestal.

Lmfao, so predictable. She really did what i said she will do
Yes, you have been hostile from the start. Don't sugarcoat your actions.

The Billboard article is not a reliable source. Billboard does not interpret nor report on sales data. Again, you've not backed up your claims whatsoever.

ChartMaster is an independent organization made by a couple of individuals and used mostly by stans. People in the music industry already have access to the raw numbers, they don't need, much less *rely* upon, something like this. The funny thing is that ChartMasters actually reports the rankings like I do, because unlike you, I know how to do basic research about certifications.

The top 5 women in their best-seller list are Madonna, then Celine Dion, then Mariah Carey, then Whitney Houston, and then Barbra Streisand. Britney Spears is in 6th place, Rihanna is in 7th place, and finally Taylor Swift is in 8th place (look at that, Riri is in the top 10, just like I said). That's exactly how I stated the rankings were lmao and you still assumed that mentioning ChartMasters was going to help your case. You didn't even glance at their website, huh?

"She actually sold enough physical" - Grossly incorrect. Her physical album sales are substandard, and her physical single sales mostly depend on digital copies.

"Meanwhile, all these platforms that count sales..." - Universally agree with me and which you have not cited at all. At this point, I doubt that you understand what certified units even are. Do you know how to look up IFPI, RIAA, Nielsen Soundscan, etc? Because they are not inaccessible nor hard to find. You mentioned and paid lip service to them not too long ago.

"And I know that Rihanna isn't even paying PR for these things... That girl doesn't even like being put on a pedestal" - You took a screenshot of a PR article by Billboard, which was showing a reiteration of her Roc Nation page (a company she *literally* pays for PR since it is her agency and hence responsible for marketing her musical brand), and this is what you consider great proof.

Sorry, but it's about time we end this.

Musically, no. Mariah still outsold her even through her mental breakdown, but JLO was big because she was in movies and seen with the right people.
Technically, yeah. J.Lo was popping off globally with "Love Don't Cost a Thing", "Ain't It Funny", and "I'm Real", while Carey had to *heavily* discount all her music to manipulate "Loverboy" up to #2 in the U.S. and get her album to sell 3 million. It's kind of wild.

The article you posted is full of alternative facts they didn’t even get the first week sales number correct.

My information comes straight from billboard.

The project actually sold 54k it’s first week (with no promotion) when it initially released, and this information is included in the billboard article I posted before. The deluxe version then sold another 27k. Totaling 81k.

I showed picture proof from billboard in my other post of it being #1 in 3 spots after it’s deluxe release in 2020.

Billboard themselves report it charting highly multiple places during its initial release in 2019.

The songs didn’t chart? The songs didn’t sell?

Men lie. Haters lie. Billboard and Chart data don’t. And these are only a couple places the songs charted. I can’t include every place because we’re only allowed 10 attachments.

How did I deflect and make excuses? I answered everything directly with links and proof.

Y’all said it didn’t sell well but I showed from billboard and ITunes charts it did.

Y’all said none of the music charted anywhere on Hot 100 I showed it did.

So according to billboard it wasn’t a flop. The single is gold, album topped and re-entered multiple billboard and iTunes charts and it also has over 520 streams. The film did commercially and critically well too.

I know you want it to be. But tell me who else’s independent soundtrack and film did as good? Especially without initial promotion? Oh you can’t.

Hell, some people’s soundtracks that were actually used in the box office movie didn’t even do as good. :ROFLMAO:

Wait. If you’re really trying to claim she’s irrelevant off this soundtrack where she isn’t even featured on half of the project you are really gone.

Beyoncé just had a #1 last year. Her clothing collection is selling out and she still get’s literally hundreds of thousands streams daily. Even her album from 7 years ago is still currently charting worldwide on ITunes.

So what is you saying....?

And Again, this soundtrack had no initial promotion so those numbers for the first week in uk make sense.

Not referring to Janet, but there are many artists who are massively influential but only achieved modest record sales in their lifetimes.

Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Bo Diddley, Jimi Hendrix, Robert Johnson etc were not diamond selling artists but they pioneered the entire genre of rock music and are regarded as legends.

All of the albums The Velvet Underground and the Ramones released flopped on the charts whilst they were active and barely charted, but they are still iconic and deemed as legends in the rock scene.

Both of the bands I mentioned are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame but never even had a top 100 hit on Billboard.
Well this is post mj era though, so it doesn’t count. I don’t agree with that font but just saying.

They actually do. They do report sales, it's literally how their charts is made. I remember them reporting Rihanna's album sales in the US.

I also remember your list, and this one is from like 2012 ... and it doesn't even take into consideration digital albums sales.
And you seems to disregard digital sales, like it's your only argument here. Sales is sales sweetie so i don't care about your lil physical copies. You can go back to the 80s if digital sales and streaming bother you so much.

Seriously?

"I don't know why you keep bringing certifications" - Ah, so you DO admit that you literally don't know what certified units even are, just like I assumed earlier. This explains a LOT.

"They actually do. They do report sales, it's literally how their charts is made. I remember them reporting Rihanna's album sales in the US." - No, Billboard does not interpret sales figures (nor radio airplay, nor streaming, nor digital downloads). They do partially use the data that other institutions or radio stations give them to weigh in on their charts' positions, but they themselves do NOT RECORD DATA (except for their own Billboard charts, of course). This is a pretty basic fact of their modus operandi. You do not remember them reporting Rihanna's anything in any country, because they have never done this for any recording artist. You're thinking of their articles, which is just individual study that their journalists do, typically for marketing purposes.

"I also remember your list, and this one is from like 2012... and it doesn't even take into consideration digital albums sales." - Yeah, you SHOULD remember "my" list considering that it comes from ChartMasters, which YOU were the one to name first, if you don't recall. And to put salt on the wound, you're also blatantly wrong, as said list does explicitly claim to take into account digital sales/streaming and was literally updated in 2020 (originally published in 2017). 2012 is a random year that you pulled out of nowhere.

"And you seems to disregard digital sales, like it's your only argument here. Sales is sales sweetie so i don't care about your lil physical copies. You can go back to the 80s if digital sales and streaming bother you so much." - What are you even talking about? Your reading comprehension is terrible. I won't bother to address this projection-fueled strawmanning.

"Look at how you contradict yourself" - I've looked, and I haven't contradicted myself. The reason why you think that I have is because you apparently cannot comprehend a line of thought that is not simplistic, and don't know how connect different line of thoughts together in a relevant way. Case in point: people in the industry, as in, record executives/upper managers, have access to the raw data, and don't have to "rely upon" some indie online website like ChartMasters. Roc Nation's page is a private company's PR machine (run and written by people who work in media relations, not her music distributors) that's literally what its purpose is, hence it's not a reliable source for sales figures nor certifications unless they're specifically citing them, which they obviously did not. This is why you should pay attention in school, they teach you how to do research and formulate compositions.

"You can spare me the response if you lack receipt" - That's funny, because you have, again, not provided a SINGLE receipt this whole spitting match. Your hypocrisy and lack of self-awareness is, again, stupendously high.

"BTW I did mention those institutions (IFPI, RIAA, etc). And you tried to come for people's reading skills" - I know you did. I brought attention to the fact that you did in my last two responses. You have to CITE those institutions rather than just mention their names for this to count as evidence.

The poster I mocked for using Wikipedia was you, because that's the only encyclopedia that lists Rihanna as the 2nd best-selling female recording artist. In this specific case, the Wiki is not valid because it is not citing a reliable source for the 200+ million number.

Let's be honest here - you're unwilling to engage in good faith debate and you were offended by someone being objective about your fave. I doubt that your new reply will be any more competent than your prior ones. The best course of action seems to be to simply block you.

The Lion King will be Beyoncé’s career highlight!
The Soundtrack will be legendary!
Oscars here we come!
Beyoncé about to be EGOT winner!

Y’all were so sure!

Ummm, I don’t recall the hive collectively saying any of this about the soundtrack. One, It wouldn’t even make sense for us to say this since she wasn’t even on half the tracks on this project.

Not to mention the way it was dropped and left to die, so we already weren’t expecting much.

And she even didn’t submit this film or album to be a Emmy or Oscar nominee so why would we be saying that? Something ain’t adding up....

In fact, didn’t this soundtrack drop before you even joined this board. How would you know what we were saying?

Now go do the math. Doggy.

what a cute way of saying the streams alone aren’t enough for a gold certification.

and we still are talking about sales here. Real sales. How many of you cheap fleahives actually bought The Appropriation, darling?

Off topic but I’m curious to see what the rule are for other nations overseas..lemme go investigate
Side Note: And if Toni Braxton re certifies her first two albums she’ll have 2 diamonds which will be amazing for contemporary R&B especially from the 90s

You should check the spoiler boo.

Secondly, can’t appropriate something that it’s created by and features people from the culture.

Seeing as the soundtrack is still currently charting on Apple Music US and Uk top charts (along with several of her other projects) certifications should be soon.

definitely louis tomlinson and liam payne. both of their albums certified toilet paper yet they're always in the news whining and crying about 1D so those fans stay interested in them. they get over 1M likes for random sh!t yet nobody streaming/buying their music.

notice how the ones that had great debuts don't mention that band at all? CTFU!

Cumila Cebolla.
I‘m wondering how many covers we will get for her next album so her crazy ass rat stans buy multiple copies of the same low quality sh!t she calls music to prevent it from flopping at least horribly.
