That is being lazy. Prices have gone up, so that should automatically include a wash and set. (Is she slow?)
Back in the day $50 got a wash, set, trim, style, etc. If I am paying for a service, I should get full treatment.
I’m noticing this trend and it’s usually from unlicensed stylist.
Is it the trend now for hairstylists to be all over social media proudly declaring everything they do not do or...?
“You need to come with your hair washed, conditioned, deep conditioned, steamed, fully trimmed, then split-end search and destroy trimmed, blow-dryed, stretched, silk-pressed and edges laid before I even touch your head and if you are 17 seconds late I will cancel the appointment even if I arrived 40 minutes late and spent another 25 minutes eating lunch while on the phone, at which point you will have to pay an £85 cancellation fee in cash and you will have to rebook another appointment on my impossible to navigate booking website.”
My stylist is $60 for that! She owns her own shop, has people working there, and ALL of that and yet she doesn't be mad. I've NEVER had an issue with an actual hair stylist not wanting to wash my hair. Even when I had my hair done by women hustling on the side, doing my hair in their kitchen/living room they NEVER had a problem with washing my hair. But then again I don't mess with these new school, social media "stylists" either. All my stylists have been doing hair since the 90s and early 2000s.
It's usually the ones who do not have a license that are working in someone else's shop doing all of this. It's not a craft to them anymore. It's a quick way to make money.
Luckily for me, my cousin does my weaves/wigs and my aunt owns her own shop and does my natural hair. I just don't have the time for these rude people and all of their rules.

yup. they've gotten spoiled by overcharging for weaves and bundles. they don't care at all about nurturing hair heath.I’m noticing this trend and it’s usually from unlicensed stylist.

LOL funniest part is that they work out of their ghetto dirty ass apartments and stay doing "specials" because they can't fill seats! If you were such a good stylist you'd have a SALON and a PRODUCT LINE a la Vidal Sasoon, Federick Fekkai, DryBar etc.Bruh... we could really end the thread right here cause this the one.
