It doesn't feel that long ago to me... Wow. I really hope Zimmerman gets what he deserves somehow.

I get emotional about Trayvon, cause I have cousin who I'm close to who is the same age, born the same year as Trayvon, matter of fact their birthdays are a month apart. That Piece of sh!t, Wanna Be Cop took this young man's life and he never got a chance to live his adult life full of potential. Pisses me off. Was minding his business and suddenly harassed and life taken away. I wonder if the jury that let that Fat, Scumbag, Asshole George Zimmerman off are able to sleep at night. I hope not.........Rest in Paradise, Trayvon.

Still so heartbreaking... I hope this young man and his loved ones get justice one day soon (by any means necessary).

RIP Trayvon. Even though you are not here physically, your spirit and life sparked a movement. You will always LIVE.

And people are still out there saying he deserved what happened to him even after all the things his MURDERER did after the trial. Smh. His parents should keep doing what they're doing until they can't anymore.

I can't believe it's been 5 years already. He would have been 22 years old. RIP Trayvon.

The only news about this that I want to hear is that that oozing labial sore is no longer up hogging much-needed oxygen.

(I know Tracy and Sybrina have chosen to take the high road, but that doesn't mean that I have to.)

I've cut off *friends* over this case. What happened to him was truly heartbreaking.

May he rest in peace.

It's so uncomfortable how much this young man looks like my little brother. My family had a tough time with his death because they looked alike, and made us feel like it was/could've been him. I really pray Trayvon is resting in peace. He did not deserve to die. And for his death to still be mocked by the man that killed him, and tons of people online is so disturbing and depressing. He had so much potential and a bright future. Rest in peace angel. ♥

Sidenote: I of course am trying to keep it positive, but did anyone else find it weird that they had his parents on "The Real" even though Tamera's husband dragged Trayvon's name through mud and defended his killer? She was being phony to me on the couch. That's another thread though, I guess.

This story still messes me up. I literally shed tears for this boy. He deserved to live. I watched this trial almost everyday. I still can't understand why he was on trial for his own murder. He deserved better representation than what he got. His lawyers shouldn't have even entertained the idea that his character, his human right and want to live should be questioned. His screams on that 911 tape? Man I don't wanna get started again but no one can convince me that buying skittles and a drink should be life threatening. I'm comforted in knowing that justice will prevail and Trayvon's already rejoicing. Rest in Paradise.

What a cute, innocent baby boy. His murder started the uproar that changed the perspective of many in our generation. He is gone, but it was not in vain. God bless his family and those who knew and loved him. RIP Trayvon.

I pretty much lost all respect for this Latino guy I use to be really cool with, after this case and the verdict. And yep the relationship ended and I will never look at him the same again, and I want nothing to do with him. He had no sympathy and was nonchalant about the whole situation, said oh well that down there meaning Florida and it doesn't effect you, and he said black people are an angry race of people. Nope all done.
