Last week, we began our first Bible Study: A Deeper Cut: The Jesus of the Bible | Lipstick Alley where we got to know our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We dispelled some misconceptions that people have of Jesus by reading and studying scripturally sound doctrine of Jesus's teachings and preachings. Feel free to add, contribute, and review to that thread as the Holy Spirit leads you!

This week, we will be reviewing, meditating, praying, and praising our Heavenly Father and the Creator of the heavens and earth: The Great I AM, the Most High God. The goal this week is to dive into God's character to get to better know him and his desires for his children! As always, it is wise to remain scripturally sound when referencing our Heavenly Father as we will ultimately answer to Him for any idle or false words spoken during our time here on earth.

The Creator:
Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

John 1:1-5 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."

Genesis 1:27 "So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them."

James 1:17-18 "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created."

Hebrews 4:12-13 "For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him whom we must give account."

Hebrews 11:1-3 "Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible."

Isaiah 6:3 "And they were calling to one another: "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory."

Isaiah 40:28 "Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom."

Jeremiah 23:24 "Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them? declares the Lord. "Do not I fill heaven and earth?" declares the Lord."

1st Corinthians 2:16 "For, "Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ."

Ephesians 2:10 "For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

Psalm 139:13-14 "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."
