Any of single ladies you wear a Diamond ring on your finger when out in public

Does wearing a wedding ring change how people interact with you?

  • I don’t know never wore one

  • Yes men hit on me more

  • Yes men hit on me less

  • Wedding ring did not have any affect on how frequent men hit on me

  • Women are more friendlier

  • Women are more jealous and catty

  • How I interact with women doesn’t change at all.

  • I get better customer service

  • I get terrible customer service

Even if you don’t wear it regularly have you ever tried it as a experiment? What was the outcome? Did you get hit in less by men, more often, were women more friendlier to you, did you get better customer service did you get less small talk more small talk. Chime in
Men say they get more women when they wear their wedding ring.

I wear it on my right hand. Nothing on my left.

I don't understand using a ring to attract men. I wouldn't want a man who went around approaching married women.

I do. I was on the way phone with my cousin walking into a store, and this guy was holding the door for me. He said you are pretty and you are married too. My cousin is on the phone saying “She is not married.” If I’m dressed up and in fitted clothes I definitely put a ring on my left hand. I do not like to be aggravated especially when I am running out errands.

I always put a wedding set on when I am traveling with my children. I believe the thought that a woman has a "protector" somewhere in the wings is a deterrent. With the crazies running rampant in this world I'm taking any advantage I can get.

You get hit on if you look good regardless of a ring. My bff was getting hit on while pregnant and wearing her wedding ring.

So you get harassed less? Interesting. Are you an attractive woman may I ask?

Also, this thread made me realize that I never look at a woman’s ring finger. It holds no weight to me, maybe that’s why.

Men still hit on you, and they will ask your marital status for confirmation.

I would do this when I was single. It's true some men will hit on you regardless but it still gives you an easier out. Most men will leave you alone a little faster.

I actually wore one once to see if men would still hit on me. One guy started flirting with me really hard and asked me out I told him I was engaged he got upset then asked to get a closer look at my ring and he told me it was fake and my man was broke.

The funny thing was as I was going through my divorce I made sure to NOT wear it. When I was freshly OFFICIALLY, divorced, if I went out as a single woman with girlfriends, I put it right back on to not be bothered. I never wear it now. In a way, it kinda never mattered as guys wouldn't pay attention to it one way or another but if I didn't want to be bothered I could always just flash it and say, "Uh, I'm a married woman." I remembered being at a concert and some dude just said "Maybe it's time for you to cheat." I was actually really married at the time though.

I used to wear my old engagement ring on occasion when I was younger. I got hit on more by more undesirables. "What did you do to get that ring?!?!?!"

Men with morals will leave you alone but most men don't have morals and if they like what they see, they like what they see.

Leave you alone as in notice it before and not bother or hit in you first then notice then fall back

I have because it looks so cute.
I didn't pay attention to customer service so I don't know if it made a difference.
Men never approached me with it.
I didn't notice a change in my interactions with women.

The key to warding off men you don't like is to just have an "uninviting" vibe. Keep a resting b!tch face, say no more then a few words and roll your eyes at anything he says.

He'll get the message and split.

I wear a solid onyx band on my ring finger all the time because I don’t want to be bothered.
