I want a puppy so bad y’all
I live in a small space and would prefer a small dog. Has anyone bought a toy or teacup dog online and had a good experience? Any reputable websites?

'teacup' is a word they use to try to upsell. It doesn't exist. Small breeds are anywhere from 3-8 lbs or more. Just like people they come in different sizes so a 3 lb one is normal, not 'teacup'. Find a reputable breeder and be aware that very small dogs come with lots of health problems at times so expect to pay a lotttt at the vet

OP I’d be careful of “teacup” dogs. These dogs usually never live long because the breeders breed two dogs that are related so that the pup can come out abnormally small. The abnormally small size is a defect from the result of incest. If you want a small dog, try researching purebred breeders on the American kennel club website.

The dog pound.
Look there.
Questions and I hate to be a damper.
Are you ready for a dog
Dog training
Crying puppy ( a clock under the kennel or near enough on the wall or something
Training. It is like training a 2 yr. old. Eat potty 10 mins. Every 15 mins duri g the hour.
It takes lots of time
You leaving town, then dig off to Doggie Hotel
Spay
Food is different and they need more meals

And stuff.

Just loves dogs here
Just asking.
Best to you,

After 6 months of searching for dogs and doing research, I ended up getting mine from Craigslist but please be careful. There are so many scams on there. If they ask you for a down payment to ship the dog and the photos look really high quality, but the prices are low, it’s a scam.

The way I knew my pup was real was because she was cute but the background was not the cleanest. I also texted the breeder and asked for a few photos as well. The breeder also made sure that I was trustworthy enough to purchase the puppy, which let me know they were a good breeder.

I ended up paying $600 (a whole bargain) for my shorkie (she’s not teacup but she’s still tiny and a great apartment dog) and she’s literally perfect, but again it took months of research to ensure it wasn’t a scam. I also made sure I brought a man with me to pick her up just in case I ended up in a dangerous situation.

Good luck!

Teacup dogs are not as healthy, and less likely to live as long. You may not consider that right now, but after you get the dog and fall in love with it it’s something that will always be in the back of your mind.
Also, when dogs are extremely small you will always worry about them getting hurt/accidentally hurting them. It’s a hassle.

Teacup animals usually come with a lot of health issues.

If you are still set on getting one then I suggest researching reputable breeders in your area.

Also, large predatory birds are known to pick up small dogs like that. Don’t leave it outside unattended.

Yes, my puppy is TINY and if we've taken him to the vet once since we've gotten him we've taken him fifty times.

He soooooo cute though.

I mean, wow. He's just adorable.

The vet doesn't expect him to be more than 8 or 10 lbs as an adult, and he doesn't even weigh half of that now. Normal weight for his age should be around 4 or 5 lbs and he's less than 3 lbs.
