Oooh, I love to start mess, so what year/years would y’all consider the cutoff for classic rock to be? I’m thinking ‘81 or ‘82, but I’m open to debate.
Hey lil girl is your daddy home, did he go out and leave you all alone..I gotta strange desire, whoa oh oh I'm on fire.. omg, I was in 8th grade...smh, as kids, you dont even realize what you're singing lolOk this is one of the sexiest songs I have ever heard, and Bruce looked so hot
Is the cut off mid 80s?I wonder about that too. In my collection I kinda separate Classic Rock from popular 80s Rock (Van Halen, Def Leppard etc) More recently, I've seen them categorized as classic rock. IDK.
Journey kind of straddles both, imo.

im just getting over my nu metal phase. i guess thats why im circling back to classic rock.No. I don't usually listen to old classic. I do regularly listen to nu metal from 90s to early 2000s
Very...I'm not certain but that sounds about right.
The Easiest Way to Define Classic Rock
Media Experts have used plenty of methods to nail down exactly “what” constitutes Classic Rock, including the years and the artists. But we’ve sussed it down to one simple component: The 8-Track Tape.www.culturesonar.com
The 8-track release cutoff theory is interesting.
theres some merit in nu metal i'd say. Slipknot, System Of A Down, Deftones....all extremely creative and legendary bands.Well then you're missing out on some amazing legendary music.
Nu metal is a joke considered to classic rock, just saying.
oh yeah those are great bands, I meant the limp bizkit typestheres some merit in nu metal i'd say. Slipknot, System Of A Down, Deftones....all extremely creative and legendary bands.
Same, but also reggae. Those are my main 3.Yes. that's usually what I'm listening to when I'm not listening to classic R&B
I’m with you. I really don’t see Def Leppard and the like as classic rock. 80’s rock is something else entirely to me (not necessarily bad though—just different). I’d agree on Journey though. They snuck a more 70’s, classic rock sound into the 80’s.I wonder about that too. In my collection I kinda separate Classic Rock from popular 80s Rock (Van Halen, Def Leppard etc) More recently, I've seen them categorized as classic rock. IDK.

Ngl I do like some 90s/2000s nu metal too lolNo. I don't usually listen to old classic. I do regularly listen to nu metal from 90s to early 2000s
Classic rock was definitely part of my 1980s teenage life, but honestly, I'm more of a 70s soft rock kinda girl...I need something that would have made it onto Soft AM afternoon radio, like Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, & Chicago, lol. ...
