You can tell even Beyonce's haters have high standards of her, which is one of the reasons why they don't like her because she intimidates them. They go easier on Rih because they don't feel there's anything to be threatened by. No one in their right mind would compare Rih to MJ, whereas with Bey, they feel deep down maybe there's some justification there for Bey to be comparable in terms of talent at least. Just an observation from someone who likes both and stans neither.
Several lies was told on this post.

1/ nobody compare Beyoncé to MJ, and even when y'all are doing that, y'all have to diminish his work to compare MJ to your fav because y'all know you can not compare Bey to MJ. MJ was really the total pack, a great studio artist, a perform, could sing live, dance, a fashion Icon with his distinct fashion standing the test of time. Bey is just a good performer at best but all this jumping on stage can not help sale record.

2/ Rihanna has been criticized to the high end, so you lied about that part. Even she improved with her singing, y'all keep downplay and discredit everything she does.

You're just a hater disguised as a "hybrid" fan.

Even with digital sales + streaming your mediocre fave is not the 2nd biggest selling female artist of all times
In fact she is not even top 5 or even the biggest selling female artist of this century
Even Taylor Swift outsells your bang mediocre fave

Hope this helps
Check a therapist boo. Rihanna without releasing an album took back her crown as the most certified female artist in the US. No where in the world your Taylor swift is outselling Rihanna.

See. This is why I just stay out of stan stuff. Some of y'all are crazy with no critical thinking. I don't hate Bey or Rih. They both are doing their thing and make dope music, but I'm just calling it like I see it. People put Beyonce on a pedestal, both antis and fans alike because they expect a lot from her.

Rihanna stans are not delusional. She surpassed MJ in #1 hits and the stans will never say she is a threat to his legacy. People like to downplay Rihanna’s talent but she doesn’t give the illusion that she is more than what she is (songwriter, plays instruments). She always says “all I can do is be ME” when she gets compared to other artists. People love that about her and therefore accept her for who she is. And it explains why “Love on the Brain” a bluesy BALLAD reached top 5 on the Billboard charts without a video and why everyone is anticipating new music from her.

Beyonce hasn’t and never will be a threat to Michael. There is a reason why he is still the standard. He was better at singing, dancing/performing and records sales. The most important part of being an artist is your MUSIC! People can post all of the music videos and touring performances they want, that includes posting Michael’s. But at the end of the day, no one gives a shit. All people care about is the MUSIC. You can’t watch videos and tour performances while driving, can you?

This idea that Beyonce is the the “next Michael” started with Jay Z in 2011, after MJ died. Her stans took it and ran with it.

Jay-Z says wife Beyonce is 'the second coming' of Michael Jackson: Yes, he knows it's blasphemy
On one hand, it’s quite a genius strategy, actually. Its similar to the movie “Inception”. He planted an idea in people’s minds that she works just as hard as MJ. And it manifested into something more. Having her be the next Michael or the female version of him, could really do great things for her career/ legacy. The downside to this is, it opened the door for a higher level of quality she has to produce. Her singing, dancing/performances, record sales and music must be A1. In some areas she has improved but unfortunately she hasn’t fully measured up. This titled should not been bestowed upon her. People, including Jay-Z, shouldn’t have done this. Beyonce should have been allowed to be “Beyonce”, organically.

This is no stan shit. This is just reality. Ofcourse they are doing their own thing. But you won't use Rihanna and downplay her to uplift Beyoncé. Beyoncé isn't all the way perfection when it comes to this entertainment business

Nowhere in my post did I say anything about Beyonce being perfect. The fact that you jumped to that conclusion proves my point: You think highly of her, and it intimidates you, especially in relation to who you stan.

But how would you know what my spotify playlist would look like?

Posting here isn't going to affect anybody's streaming.

Beyonce made the decision to take credit for other people's songwriting for an entire career to boost her artistic reputation.

Songwriting is melody and lyrics and absolutely nothing else. That has nothing to do with heresy or envy. Or are you suggesting that Beyonce really is responsible for lowering expectations of singer-songwriters in the music industry???

The only reason she isn't being disgraced on this fact is because she married a powerful man.

I just don't get why everybody else is scrutinized but there is a problem with scrutinizing her.
Know what you’re talking about before you run your mouth .
90D9A70E-00E9-4AC7-933F-8721B073DCD2.jpeg

Bey is not responsible for the songwriting criteria these days nor was that suggested. Stop trying to use your ignorance here it doesn’t work with ppl with sense.

This woman is powerful enough in her own right w/o Jay and these dusties still get on here and disgrace her over any and everything regardless of if she’s guilty or who she’s married to. So idk what point you were driving home there.

she absolutely does come up with melodies as evidenced by the demos on YouTube (they’re usually different arrangements) and has put pen to paper multiple times as well. Fonts like you want to invalidate that because she doesn’t do it everytime but that’s not how this works.

everyone can’t be lying in this thread with video evidence and receipts.

All that bullshit in the last paragraph would’ve made sense if your fellow HeeHees had just half the amount of smoke for other comparisons made. For example, Chris Brown. Y’all don’t fight against that comparison nearly as hard. Nobody is pulling Chris’ sales, his lyrics or his tragic auto tuned singing to disprove that longstanding comparison of Chris and Mike. Y’all let Team Breezy rock for the most part.

Beyoncé being the “next Michael“ is “blasphemy“ but Chris Brown being ”the next Michael“ is a okay. I don’t know what I expect from a fanbase that openly trashes MJ’s iconic sister.

I will agree with the HeeHees on one thing: Beyoncé is NOT the next Michael. She IS the only Beyoncé.

OK? How is what I said "bullshit"? The author of the article used the word "blasphemy". My paragraph had little to do with why Beyonce "was being dragged" for the MJ comparison, and more to do with why labeling her "the second coming..." did more harm than good to her as an artist. Being the "next MJ" is some big shoes to fill. Jay-Z is the one who put that out there and the stans followed suit. Frankly, IMO, not one single artist is touching MJ on any level. It's unfair to the artist.

When 50 cent made his comment about Chris being better than MJ, he was dragged. And Chris responded by posting MJ stats. NONE of which Chris is touching. He knows he doesn't compare. Usher also has been compared to MJ and Ciara to Janet. Additionally, Chris's stans, from what I've witnessed, have been respectful to Michael's legacy, just like their fav. Could that explain why these artists aren't dragged as much? Honestly asking.

So why don’t you? Their discographies could use the boost on multiple platforms. Viral tbt tweets ain’t cutting it.

Only on lsa is Beyoncé selling less than white acts who were notorious for lifting songs and entire genres created by black people considered “artistic consequence” for her. In your head, dead white artists sales are supposed to prosper while bey is supposed to suffer because your gripes with her are rooted in hearsay and envy.

Y’all disgust me. You must be one of those Mj or britney fonts. It’s giving #fff.
They only fake fans of those other female acts from the 2000s when it’s time bash Bey. Any other time when those other female acts needs real support in terms of streams, buying their music, and buying whatever they’re selling besides music, it’s crickets for them. It’s entirely disingenuous and disrespectful to those other female artists because they’re only good enough to drag Beyoncé.

But why would Beyonce be a threat to MJ when she can't conceive a hit song from her own mind?

Songwriting=Melody +Lyrics only.

Adding a few words to an already created and existing musical track with professional songwriters credited is not songwriting.

This is notable because Beyonce plastered her name on all of the hits she released despite no evidence she can write more than one melody on a musical instrument on her own.

So the comparison does more harm than good to Beyoncé but not Chris Brown or Usher?? Beyoncé's career can be dismissed and demeaned, lies shared because her husband believes her to be among the best(as he should)??

Yea okay, MJ is big shoes to fill but folks didn't have a problem putting any new young cat as the next MJ for decades(like Justin Timberfake), even when he was alive, but now it's a problem that the Black woman who has actually sustained her relevancy, her cultural footprint and made a huge imprint on pop culture is being compared?? It's giving misogynoir

"He knows he doesn't compare. Usher also has been compared to MJ and Ciara to Janet. Additionally, Chris's stans, from what I've witnessed, have been respectful to Michael's legacy, just like their fav."

Ah I see you want Beyoncé and the Hive to be on ass licking time??? You want us to say how Beyoncé is not worthy and have Beyoncé placate ya'll by posting stats "confirming" she ain't worth a damn.

Well I'm sorry, you're never gonna get it. Beyoncé has paid homage to MJ and others plenty of times. And it's always funny how ya'll never see the other fanbases comparisons or disrespect of MJ but somehow see Hive(doing anything literally).

Like this thread. Why is MJ even being discussed?? Look who brought him up and I guarantee it wasn't a Beyoncé stan.

Vocal arrangements is NOT songwriting.

There are also demos out there where all she does is change the bridge for the final song. That is NOT songwriting.

Beyonce should apologize to the music industry and the black community for lowering the expectations of singer-songwriters
