I have natural hair that I keep straight. I feel as though my usual serums/oils are letting me down and I want to try something new. Any serum/oil recs?

ETA: I'd like the serum/oil to be hydrating and give me a silky feel

What do you usually use? Ive been using bio silk silk therapy and it had my hair gliding couldn’t braid it or put it in a bun lol. I want to try satin shield from deeper than hair but it’s $40

I use proclaim (sally's beauty) serum. It used to work fine, but not so much anymore. I wonder if maybe I need more moisturizing deep conditioners when I do my dye and blow-dry routine. Maybe it's the weather? I don't know! My hair is piece-y, if that makes sense...certain sections sort of stick out?

My go to is biosilk, but I actually tried one from Rich products (Rick Ross owns?) and it was really good too for my silk press

How old is it? It could be expired. Protein treatments are also important since you chemically alter and use heat on your hair so you could look into that. Do you mean like flyaways that could be breakage and frizz

It's not frizz. Okay, I'll switch it...I need a good moisturizing serum that I can leave in my straightened hair.

Bumble and bumble invisible oil. Love it. Been using it for years. Very light weight.

Chi silk infusion is gods gift to my hair
I used to use this back in high school and it worked great as a heat protectant and straightening serum. But ive revisited it recently and iono... its just not performing the same. No matter how little i use my hair still comes out greasy. Biosilk gives great results but its not a protectant

Sometimes i use tresseme heat tamer heat protectant spray. But i like my flat ironed hair light and flowy so i avoid alot of product
i get the best results with chi silk infusion when i do the least. i just make sure i get my hair very clean and then rub a quarter size amount on each half of my head and i put nothing else. Tbh the last time i flat ironed my hair was dull and stiff because i used a protein treatment and then used aloe vera gel before using the chi. it works best with absolutely no product.
