Birria is not my cup of tea at all, so I vote for the chilli dog with chilli cheese fries. Especially if it supports black businesses!

Ben's gives me the runs and the only place in DC I get birria from is Taqueria Xochi - DELICIOUS and the owner/chef is an absolute doll

What does it taste like?
It just tastes too damn bloody for my taste buds. I know it’s not raw but I literally feel like I’m tasting blood. I think people like it mostly because of how tender and juicy it is but for some reason all I taste is blood. Like I like a very thin line of pink in my steak, but birria reminds me of when you accidentally bite your own lip or tongue and get a metallic blood taste in your mouth. I’ve tried it at four different places and NOPE. I’ll pass.

Birria is overhyped. It's essentially a soup that you dip tacos in. It really does nothing to the flavor.

Now, if it was smoky, and had more of a bbq taste, I'd love it, but it's nothing like that in terms of flavor.

I understand if you want to try it based on the hype, but TRUST, it ain't nothin special.
